I used to be notorious in my raid group for showing up to fight in as little as possible, mostly to embarrass and annoy key members of the office corps and the other tanks in tank chat. Transmogrification is one of those systems that caught me by surprise, considering I had thought it was a concept that would never, ever make it into
World of Warcraft. Once I got to see the system in action on the PTR, I was hooked.
Does your guild have any rules about transmogrification outfits in raids? Showing up in goofy clothing and wacky outfits is par for the course in video games with outfit customization, and people love to joke around and have a good time. Many raiding guilds take things a bit more seriously, though. And what do you do about someone with an inappropriate outfit and complaints?
How does your guild deal with revealing transmogged outfits?

This is not something I'd ever considered before. Frankly, as a raid leader, if you do what you're meant to be doing in the raid then I really couldn't care less what your character is wearing.

For me personally I kind of feel a lot of these sets are kind of tacky. But I am kind of like -- to each their own about it. As a GM I have enough issues I have to deal with, without trying to be a card carrying member of the wow fashion police too.
That being said -- I feel like transmog as a whole has accomplished two things, 1) it's let those who don't like skimpier outfits transmog themselves to something more conservative and it's allowed for 2) some skimpier styles to be worn freely by those who like that sort of thing.
For years women have been both endorsing this kind of armor, and begrudging it. To me, my inner feminist says that neither option is the wrong answer if you feel happy with it. I think this allows for blizzard to kind of side-step the arguments which are so often levied against it.
About the only thing that I would wish they would put in game is the opening armor from the original game video -- of the Night Elf who runs through the forest and then shape shifts. It's so beautiful. It's revealing true, but it never ceases to seem strong too.

Hahahahahaha, there's sexy armor? Well, I guess some of the more recent Paladin tiers (and the starter Outland cloth) for the ladies, but...
I dunno. Probably just me, but if you want sexy costume/armor, go play City of Heroes. Absolute cleavage is the norm in there. (There's just as many full-covered costume pieces, too.) WoW is small fry compared to CoH in the sexy department. ;)

The trend of comments seemed to go with people saying their guilds didn't care what people transmogged to for raiding. I've had a few experiences of guilds where they required friends to change what they were wearing both for raids and rp purposes. I've tried to argue with the leaders and officers of those guilds about their issues, but it's their choice I suppose.
I understand why people view certain armor or clothing as "sexy". We bring our real world views into the game. But there are respected NPCs, statues, and all sorts of reasons why in Warcraft lore these outfits should be normal. That's more an rp argument to allow certain clothing for transmog.
For raiding, people are going to want what they want. If they see what little cleavage there is in this game or a little exposed thigh and freak out...that's their choice. Easier to find a new guild then change their mind.

i am a guild leader and i dont think i would have the right to tell anyone how to transmogrify there gear......thats going to far, i have g-chat and vent rules about the same as any other guild .and if i was to place rules on transmog i would prolly lose alot of guildies. lol ppl forget that this is just a game and were all playing it for the same reason, FUN!!!!!!
