The limits of my worrying about fashion is to occasionally buy a shirt to match my gear or not display a helmet. I only notice it on the character screen, as my camera is too far out in actual fights to distinguish detailed outfits. I've never transmogged and I identify too much with my toons to have a female, but I realise I may be in a minority. As for objecting to clothing, considering some of the looks of my undead, troll and orc guildies, skimpy clothing isn't really going to make a difference ;-)However, yesterday when I stumbled upon guildies playing dressups with their female toons to get a "sexy" raid together (started by one of our female members), saying that heroics and DF were too boring, I began to pray MoP comes soon ;-)
