"We are slowly in progress with revamping the races, but the reality is that at best we would get the Dwarves for Mists of Pandaria"
So, no new models this expansion, except MAYBE dwarves. Wow. That is the worst news I have read.
Dreyja Mar 19th 2012 5:13AM
MWAHAHA! Unless anyone else thinks that's a bad thing...
DWARVES FTW!!!!
Do it BLIZZ! DO. EET! Dwarves deserve your love. ;D
Killik Mar 19th 2012 6:58AM
Female Dwarf suddenly becomes the best race/gender combo in the game!
Revynn Mar 19th 2012 12:35PM
You're reading that wrong in two ways.
"Not at launch" does not mean "Not at any point during the expansion". Remember that Druid bear and cat forms were updated with 3.1, several months into Wrath.
Also, the thing about Dwarves doesn't mean that we'll get Dwarf models before anything else. It just means they'll be the first ones complete. It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to roll out a single race at a time. It's far more likely that we'll see all races updated at once (with the possible exception of Belves and Draenei). Hopefully with patch 5.1 or something.

DONE. All very interesting. A bit /sadpanda (see what I did there?) about only getting an 11th character slot instead of a lifting of per-server limit, but what are you gonna do. The fly through of the new heroics looks neat, and I'm really impressed with how far you've said they've gone and how close that means to a beta being open.
Also, I cannot wait to get [Glyph of the Stag]!!
Luke Mar 19th 2012 4:29AM
Agreed mostly.
I'm looking forward to the Orca glyph. However I was hoping they would add a wolf like model for travel form. I'm not sold on the stag, but as long as it makes some people happy that's a win in my book.
My biggest hope for Druids has always been that we could find an animal / creature model in the world and copy that model for our own use. Something that's kind of a hybrid between Tame Beast and the glyph / talent system.

Troll druid stags = flashy colours and a mohawk, pleeease!!!
Swifteye Mar 19th 2012 11:59AM
Pretty much *all* of the Druid glyphs sound really cool, but there is one that just blows all the others away, and I shall acknowledge it with six simple words:
No. More. Giant. Ugly. Chicken. Butt.
... *sheds tear of joy*
DragonFireKai Mar 19th 2012 3:56AM
Nothing on raids beyond "there will be three of them."?
Task Mar 19th 2012 4:22AM
Not to steal WoW Insider's coverage about this, but Lore from Tankspot.com and Gamebreaker.tv's Legendary said that there were going to be 3 raids and 14 bosses. The only info withheld was what the raids were going to be called.
Philster043 Mar 19th 2012 4:22AM
Well, you don't expect Blizzard to reveal everything right now. They still have to save something for around when the beta / game is almost out.
Edymnion Mar 19th 2012 4:14PM
Phil, yes, I rather did expect them to spill a lot more beans than they did. They forced every site on the internet to sign an NDA before they could hear this news. They basically threatened lawsuits against anyone that so much as whispered about this stuff.
And then this was it? Whoop de do.
Starlin Mar 19th 2012 4:04AM
Lots of interesting stuff here, but I'm ultimately disappointed. I really expected a big announcement. And maybe the hype is to blame, but the biggest piece of news here is AOE looting.
Pyromelter Mar 19th 2012 4:22AM
Maybe I'm reading through these articles too fast, but I didn't see anything on AOE looting.
Pyromelter Mar 19th 2012 5:27AM
Whoop, there it was, caught it on MMO-champ, aoe looting for anything in range.
Mages and blood dk's and prot pallies and every other "gather and aoe a zillion mobs" type classes rejoice :)

I feel like Blizzard pissed in my Cheerios...
WoW Insider did a great job this past week getting me pumped up for some super awesome news, but after having reviewed it all, I'm just really disappointed.
No new character models and no mention of account-wide achievements or how shared pets across an account will work.
Only 1 additional character slot while better than nothing, still feels like a kick in the balls.
The simplification of the Pet Battle System where every pet has the same choices of abilities means that there's nothing really cool about having rare pets X, Y and Z on your team. And only tracking wins to spare hurt feelings is utter BS! The majority of WoW's playerbase is >20 now... We want to challenge our friends directly, not queue into some random fight. I was actually looking forward to the PBS, but now I feel like they've geared it towards pre-teens and small children.
Luotian Mar 19th 2012 11:13AM
For crying out loud, why does everyone assume that means you CAN'T challenge your friends and people directly? They'll be hiding it in randoms, not necessarily against your friends. It is, in fact, a really good idea. The only downside is that you won't be able to MAKE friends that way, but its a heck of a lot better than the people queing specifically to grief those that love it that would come up.
Philster043 Mar 19th 2012 4:21AM
Sweet map! Looks a lot more "complete" now :)
ratmaggot Mar 19th 2012 4:28AM
I have to say this doesn't live up to the hype. I expected a deluge of new, interesting info, which this really isn't. Blizz, I'm saying, not WoWinsider.
Edymnion Mar 19th 2012 10:31AM
Agreed. Most of this stuff wasn't worth the amount of time it took to read.
