Oh, and of course all the stuff I haven't seen on WoW Insider yet. New Loot Rules in LFR, AoE Looting, mounts and some profession information. BoA titles with the mounts still in the works (if not on release, soon after). You know, all that stuff you're all complaining wasn't talked about...

The map looks just like Northrend?
Noyou Mar 19th 2012 4:07PM
Is that a bad thing? I noticed it too, it does have some similarity to it. They did state that it is the southern equivalent to Northrend. It works for me. Plus there are all those little islands, hopefully with little places to explore. From everything I read, I might be out leveling my first toon from 85-90 a lot longer than I went from 80-85.

A bunch of whiny kids complaining about lack of models again.
New models if they have any changes to the shape of the body will mean that the equipping of thousands of armor items and weapons will need adjusted.
That is why it is not a high priority, because it will be a lot of effort for a minimal return.
Armor will cover up most of the updates.

I see a lot of comments complaining that there's not much new information, but for some one like me, this is an great compilation of the info.
I'm not playing WoW at the moment, but am waiting for the expansion, so I don't check WoW Insider every hour like I used to. Getting all the info in one lump sum is very nice, rather than searching for small tidbits in old articles.

I am not disappointed (which would imply something I expected didn't happen), but more like underwhelmed. Not at MoP, I am terribly excited about the expansion and can't wait to get into beta. I am underwhelmed at this whole press tour/NDA hoopla that Blizzard created. After sifting trough all the coverage here and in other sites, I came away with very little that was not already known. I guess because of the press tour and the whole 1 week anticipation I was ready for something unexpected, a sort of feature that came out of nowhere, left-field, etc. But that didn't happen and instead we got lots of details on things we knew were coming (with the exception of the siege of Orgrimmar and AoE looting)

Nicely put. I'm not sure what I expected (was hoping for a beta date), but after reading through everything "underwhelmed" is exactly how I feel. It's not that the info was bad, I just bought into the hype and expected something to blow me away.

With Garrosh Hellscream as the next big bad, this means not only will Alliance be able to take it to Garrosh, but this means civil war within the Horde. This is also the end game big bad for Horde players. For those playing Horde this will sort of be a WOW version of Horde Spring when the Horde populace rises up to overthrow the tyrant and institute a system and rule that is more in touch with the needs and aspirations of Horde players. Cool :-)

So - I can see why some folks were underwhelmed, but... honestly, there's a lot of stuff that's come out that is amazing. Nothing against WowInsider (I love this place) but I think part of the problem is the press tour brain-dumped so much information, no one outlet can effectively communicate it.
Reading through the stuff here, and then on MMO-C, and finally seeing the "A Night in Mists of Pandaria" article on the WoW homepage really reinforced just how much STUFF is getting packed into this expansion.
I mean - did I get as much information as I wanted? Hell no. I want it all. But was there enough information to get me totally geeked about this expansion coming out? Hell yeah!

MMO-champion had made note of monk abilities and talents from the press tour: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1099129-Mists-of-Pandaria-Press-Tour-Monk-Skills-and-Talents?p=15992550#post15992550

All the secretive stuff for what?
1. The new female Panda model which I mean really does look good but to be secrative about for a week?
2. Garrosh being forcably removed as Warchief? I mean they gonna make Varian more noble and bringing back Thrall cause let's face it Thrall IS Horde.
I don't know. I am happily playing the Old Republic and I MIGHT stop in to check things out. I MIGHT sub for a few weeks and I MIGHT buy a copy to do so. But so many MIGHTS it just MIGHT not be worth the money at all.
In the end I just MIGHT wait til the next expansion when Thrall is back in place and we got the 'Kiss up to a certain Goverment' mentality out of our system. Oh yes I know I'll be marked down for stating that.
