I remember when you could not put a trap in combat.
I remember how hard hunter pvp was.
I remember how with 2 pieces of dungeon set in BC you could control 3 mobs at the same time (for an extended period of time).
I remember CC-ing mobs on hc runs with my Lock:
fear +Curse of agony/recklessness AND searing pain + Elements+Seduction.
ahhh.. good times

Ha, I forgot feign death used to kill you! Pretty sure that happened to my nelf at least once XD.
Come to think of it...there isn't much of anything I really miss from my pre-Cata hunter days except Volley.

Miscrosoft Word, Replaced "DK" with "."
I. have. indeed. noticed. the. trend. that. many. Danes. like. to. add. .. to. their. online. identities.. It. should. be. pointed. out. that. people. of. other. nationalities. do. this. as. well., but. I. agree. that. many. Danes. really. seem. to. like. adding. their. country. code. to. their. name..
Although. I. am. Danish. myself., I. find. this. trend. rather. silly. and. I. never. really. understood. why. anyone. feel. the. need. to. do. this.. I. realise. that. it. is. of. course. a. matter. of. national. pride., but. my. personal. theory. why. it. is. so. common. amongst. Danes., is. that. special. Danish. cultural. as. well. as. subconscious. need. to. reassert. ourselves. since. we. got. our. butts. massively. kicked. back. in. 1864.. Imo. that. would. also. explain. why. we. feel. the. need. to. decorate. our. landscape. as. well. as. Christmas. trees. with. Danish. flags. so. much. :-)

Microsoft Word, "Add Accent - Captain Kirk"
Ok, not really.
Not playing on EU realms, I didn't notice this. I usually only see "DK" when it's a Death Knight. I think the most unoriginal name for one I have ever seen was "Taurendk."
As for remembering when,
I remember when Mages could conjure individual food and water, and you could actually give it to your lower-leveled friends. None of this "one food for your current level only" crap.
When getting the last two ranks of conjure food and water were BOOKS that only dropped rarely, and people charged out the ass for them.
When Conjure Refreshment was added in, it required those two ranks to learn. So, unless you got extremely lucky, or paid out the ass for the two books, you couldn't train Conjure Refreshment.
When Pyroblast was a 6-second cast.
The old fire cast animations. The streaky-rocks. As much as the "flaming balls, with swirly fire trails" animation is better, I still miss the streaky-rocks animation.
Before "Report Spam" was added, and the only way to do so was submit a ticket.
Before WOTLK, GM tickets usually only taking 5-20 minutes to answer, on my realm.
When getting a group together for a dungeon meant clicking the "Find party for" button, and because it was almost always useless for lesser-ran dungeons, spamming in a city for 2 hours, finding someone, then waiting for either a tank or a healer. While waiting for them, one members drops out, then you get that tank or healer. Now you have to wait for the one you lost, but the tank or healer drops out, and you get the other one you were missing.
When dailies as you know them (for gold) didn't exist. (First gold-based dailies awarded 11g 90s at the highest-end.)
When sparklies for interactable objects and resource nodes didn't exist.
When voice chat was added in, they changed the audio engine, and completely !@#$ed up the audio for anyone with hardware-accelerated cards. Hardware acceleration was no longer supported, people with 5.1 sound had channels which could jump around, switch around, or just not work at all. All sound was muffled, sounds far away were too loud, while close sounds were too low. Complete dropping of sounds (one kind of sound effect would play, but nothing else would.) It took the massive complaining of players, and the assistance of Creative (which Blizzard ignored the offer of the first time) to fix the problem, and regain hardware acceleration.

I remember when the original Brewfest was setting up. As just before this I joined World of Warcraft!
I also remember the 2nd September 2007, as this is when my guild was created. Still here, just nobody else online...

I remember on my NE characters I can shadowmeld and drink at the same time. Often a second mob would come past whilst I'm drinking.
When Evocation was part of the Arcane talent tree and Ice Block deep in the frost tree.
When elites walked around instance entrances
When Teremus The Devourer was badass and could be kited to SW for Bolivar to kill.
You'd raid MC for months to get the tier 0 gear, you have to visit the parents on your birthday and the damn boots drop.

I remember when warriors couldn't heal themselves at all. I remember when paladin leveling consisted almost entirely of autoattacking. IRW getting a dungeon group together took an hour, the dungeon itself took at least that long, and there was no dual spec, so some poor son of a bitch had to be leveling in a heal spec to make it work.
I leveled as a holy priest way back when. No LFD, no bottomles leveling mana, no streamlined questing, and the mobs were super close together. If you pulled two at once, you might be able to pull it off, maybe, if you had full mana. Three or more? Forget it. You were dead.
Yeah, I'm a little nostalgic. But I would never do it again.
