No NDA means we here at WoW Insider get a nice breadth of content to show you, discuss, and help refine through the beta process. What content are you most excited to see and hear about once the Mists of Pandaria beta begins? Will you want live streams of dungeons? Cool quest videos? Monk guides? If you're in the beta, what's the first thing you'll do?
It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria, World of Warcraft's next expansion. Jump into five new levels with new talents and class mechanics, try the new monk class, and create a pandaren character to ally with either Horde or Alliance. I'll be avoiding the beta. I think people forget that the point of it is to find bugs and report them, not to see the shiny things before everyone else.

I will avoid the temptation to copy my main, so I don't have to go through everything twice. I'll probably move over one of my lesser played alts and of course make a monk. A troll monk.

As others have said, it would have been impossible to control all of the annual pass subscribers in the beta, so an NDA would have been futile anyway. This could also be why they put the NDA up for the press event, to control the flow of information early before it comes out in massive waves during beta testing.
I'm not sure I'll join the beta, the only reason I'd jump in is to run the Pandaren zone to see if it's worth using my 11th slot to make a panda, a monk, or both. Otherwise, I don't know that I want to be spoiled too much. It's so much more fun to be surprised.

It's kind of a bummer because I've been playing since early BC with my brother but he and I decided we needed our own accounts so I made my own at the beginning of Cata. So even though I did annual pass day one and have a character in my account with 5 years of anniversary achievements I'm still gonna have to wait to get my invite. The worst part is my brother doesn't even play anymore and he kept our original account!!!
I'm still looking forward to it though, I plan on stating a monk and checking out other things. I actually don't plan on playing too much into the zones because i want to play it when MoP comes out, but i will ry my best to find bugs to report. =) Maybe I just won't read the quest.

Pet Battle System!! I want all the stats and moves analyzed, simulated, and theorycrafted, and I demand a website called petistjerks with the optimal builds and move sequences for each pet. If you don't follow it, you're doing it wrong.

Believe it or not, there are a ton of pokemon players out there who play the game just like that. It's all about spreadsheets and breeding schemes and EVs and enough math to make a PhD student's head explode. Depending on how rich the battle system is in WoW I would not be at all surprised if this became an entire WoW subculture.
For a bit more charming story about srs pokemon, can I recommend resident Penny-Arcade asshole Gabe's surprisingly heartwarming story about the time he decided to participate in a pokemon tournament?

On and don't forget the farmville theorycrafting. What's the optimal land build (almost literally) for maximum rep, maximum herbalism leveling, maximum gold, or, what else is there?

When I get into the Beta there'll be 2 things I'll mostly be focusing on. Firstly, I'll be levelling a Warrior and a Priest. I've been playing both for a while (Priest since Vanilla, Warrior since Cata) and I'm interested in how the levelling experience has changed and see how the new talents and abilities work at lower levels. This is partly due to thinking that everyone will be bug testing at high levels so would be interesting to focus on lower level play, but mainly because I don't want to ruin levelling my main at release. Secondly, copying my main and launching into pet battles. Its a feature I'm interested in and so want it to be as smooth an experience as possible so lets test the hell out of it.

What will I be doing on the beta if I get in? Oooo... probably do some fishing, some cooking, roll a red pandaren for the Alliance, a few dungeons, a few quests, more fishing, more cooking, faction farming (like I don't do enough of that on live already), wandering and seeing the world, and more fishing, and more cooking... and archaeology. And crafting. And more fishing. And cooking.

I told myself that I would stay out of beta (I have an annual pass) but after seeing the Monk abilties I have to try it out...like ASAP! I'm most interested in all things Monk at this point. Monk guides, Monk videos, Monk action figures, Monk facial products...I want to know about all of it!

Rolling a Onscreen Monk and taking it as far as I can, to determine whether to main a Troll Monk in Cataclysm.
