I don't think this will make locks into main tanks. However, its a good toolset for add range tanking. Think Gluth (Naxx) where a hunter would kite adds in the back. Or Mimiron's head.
This may indicate that kiting adds and add control will be mandatory in future raids. This gives raid comps a choice between Hunters, Frost mages and Demon locks.
Also think of all the fun times soloing old content in Demon form. Boy-oh-boy!
