Nope! Just knowing what sets are popular and checking the AH prices. I don't usually do anything with gold farming, I'll AH things every now and again but never with any seriousness like the people that play the AH game. I've been playing this game a REALLY long time, so I've got a pretty good idea of what pieces people are drawn towards. Heck I probably could have put half of the pieces I AH'd up for far more gold and sold them just as quickly - but I didn't really NEED to sit there with piles of gold or anything.

fair enough. take 5 minutes looking into some of the transmog gold making blogs/podcasts, and i'm sure you can see why i, perhaps hastily, came to that conclusion.

You're incapable of working things out on your own, so if you see someone has worked something out that someone else also worked out, you assume one must of learned it from the other, because it's incredibly unlikely more than one person is that intelligent?
Most ideas are not so complex that multiple people can't work them out independently.

Why is it hard to believe? You don't have to be a genius to look at current AH prices on some greens. Or to know what sets have a distinctive and attractive look.
