I've been in the transmog market for the last few months, ever since I saw on Power Word: Gold that Auctionator can save the search names of those good-looking greens. So most nights I check the AH for low-priced greens to flip for hundreds or occaissionally thousands of gold. It's not a quick way to make gold, as some things might take weeks or months to sell, but I have fun doing it.
As a roleplayer, I've long known what green sets look good, but I didn't think to sell any when transmog went live. I was too busy building my own sets to think about profitting off of others doing the same. Grats to Keelhaul for being on top of that market. At least the market is still around, even if it's not as explosive as it once was.
I actually got in-game hate-mail last week for the inflated prices on my auctions. The poor player thinks that one NEEDS gear from the AH in order to level, and how dare I force lowbies to pay so much for greens. As Anne wrote, it's so very easy to level using only quest rewards now. Apparently this hater doesn't realize that there is a transmog market, even though I am far from being the only one who has such auctions. I hope the other sellers got the same hate-mail so they can shake their heads incredulously as I did.
