Mists of Pandaria Beta: New weapon and shield models

With great betas come great datamining, and we've got some splendid new weapon and shield models from the Mists of Pandaria beta courtesy of Disenchanting Azeroth. A lot of these models are potentially NPC only or lower level items, according to the site, and they are very detailed as we've come to expect from Blizzard's texture artists. Hit the link for more staves, axes, maces, and more from Mists of Pandaria.

It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria, World of Warcraft's next expansion. Jump into five new levels with new talents and class mechanics, try the new monk class, and create a pandaren character to ally with either Horde or Alliance. Why do 2h maces always look so lame? :(

The swords are pretty hip though, so that makes up for it.

Agreed. Every time a 2-hand mace is BIS for my warrior, I cringe, because there isn't even anything decent to mog it into. Blegh.

There are other interesting BC maces as well, depending on what look you want. Also, I always thought the Sulfuras variations looked pretty cool too.

I have the original Demise - Might of Menethil. Unfortunately, 2h maces pretty much hit the toilet after that model :/

I'm happy to see a staff with rings hanging off the end. It's one of the Asian stave aesthetics that appeals to me the most.

Also, Rogues getting Sai-type daggers. So much win.

If polearms keep being itemized for AGI, Monks are going to be the only ones that we actually SEE that Wooden Rake on. Remember, Hunter stat-sticks going the way of the Dodo.

All in all they look nice but there is a part of me really hopes blizzard takes a look at the weapons from the dynasty warriors series they always look very slick clearly blizzard can't copy them but damn if they might not put some fun ideas in there head

I'm disappointed there isn't a Dadao Model (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PQiaurIiDM), then again I guess Blizz didn't want another Ashbringer model :/
