Ask your Scroll of Resurrection questions

Many players seem to be having a difficult time deciphering the intricacies of the revamped Scroll of Resurrection system. Whether that's because the Scroll of Resurrection Walkthrough support page isn't visible enough or the system is just that complicated, we don't know. What we do know is that Blizzard has offered us a pretty cool opportunity -- a Q&A about the Scroll of Resurrection system, with the questions coming from WoW Insider readers.

Are you not sure how the system works? Have you run into an issue that you don't quite understand? Aspects of the system that you think could be improved, perhaps? Drop all of that in the comments below, and we'll forward the most common questions on to Blizzard.

Hey! i havent played WoW since december, so my friend is going to use the scroll of rez on me. But i was wondering, if i play on ravencrest(a server) and my friend plays on darksorrow(server), lets say i wanna make a holy pally and i have a lvl 85 warrior an 70 holy pally on ravencrest. Can i make a new holy pally that gets boosted to lvl 80 on darksorrow, and then transfer my warrior to darksorrow? or do i have to boost a existing char? if i have to boost a existing char, it means that i have to transfer that char to darksorrow, and not transfer my warrior, or do i get several transfers?

The scroll is rather straight-forward, what I'd like to know more about, is how the boost works.

I'd hate to find my new lvl 80 with no gold, no professions, no riding skills, no mounts, no bags, and in level 1 gear sitting in Orgrimmar, on a brand new server.

While we're at it, I've had trouble finding systhematic information for cataclysm leveling here. Sure, there's wealth of info, but what I was hoping for were simple, concise guides giving me:
- a spec to use for leveling from 80 (with /run command to paste into wow, preferably),
- recommended glyphs for leveling/starter dungeons
- basic rotation
- preferred stats with rough weights
- gemming/chanting tips
- any factions/areas to prioritize for later gearing

The closest to that ideal was the piece for Hunters. Go papa Frostheim! You da mon!

These would really help any freshly resurrected corpses, like me.

Oh well...

I used the scroll to bring back my friend but she went to go accept and said she had no characters on her account so they told her to make a new one which she did and then went to go look for the scroll to accept gifts and she can not find it says she already used it. But she didn't please help.

Hello, I just claimed my SoR, and wanted to boost my Level 1 Warlock to 80 and transfer him to my friend's realm. They transferred my Lock to his server, but they didn't boost him to 80. Can someone help me please?

Does it matter what expansion set you were last at to get the upgrade to cataclysm? I bought the original + burning crusade box set and never bought lich or cata. can i still get the scroll and upgrade to cata?
i went out and bought lich without thinking. i can still return it i hope. save myself thirty bucks.
