None of the released material said Garrosh is dying.

True. Maybe we beat him silly and he wakes up from being evil and goes to retire in Nagrand and leave all the complicated politics to Azeroth orcs.

Orgrimmar was merely a setback!

Good point - the only people Blizz will allow to kill or defeat Horde are other Horde: Garrosh kills Cairne, Garrosh kills that dishonorable general in Stone Talon, Sylvanas brings Koltira back to UC for 're-education', etc.
Horde is also allowed to kill/defeat Alliance.
Alliance is only allowed to defeat Horde who go "bad" (the Tauren & the Orc bosses in DS, Saurfang's son, etc), or to defeat Horde lowbies in a way that makes Alliance look bad (Southern Barrens).

That's what I was thinking. He'll be defeated, never said killed. Considering that Thrall has pardoned others, like Gallywix, I could easily see Garrosh getting a "now have you learned your lesson, kid" speech after the fight.

That's a really sad story, John!
