The cover to the upcoming
World of Warcraft novel,
Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War, has been revealed, thanks to
Scrolls of Lore. Christie Golden, author of
The Shattering and
Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects (among others), wrote Jaina's story this time around. Of note on the cover is Jaina's white hair, which has been said by Blizzard in the past to indicate extreme power or a physical embodiment of the horror of Theramore's destruction. Could we be seeing Jaina flip out and go all white-haired Super Jaina Z? Is her white hair a mark of the trauma of seeing Theramore destroyed?
Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War is releasing later this year. Check out
Scrolls of Lore for the full cover picture.
It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria

Jaina and her buddy Anduin hop on a ship to Pandaria. Ally ship sinks and Anduin washes ashore and searched for as a "White Pawn", while Jaina drowns and ends up in the claws of the "inconcievable horror"( an underwater old god/n'zoth/naga/other sea creature ).
There her hair turns white from the shock and possibly she is also changed/corrupt by this thing.
While she is lost and presumed dead and Theramore is left unprotected, Garrosh takes his chance ...

Yes, that's is really convincing Mr Bot. Especially since your URL is for miracle foot repair apparently..

Perhaps Jaina is grimacing from one of those fish pedicures gone horribly awry?

Garrosh! What does the scouter say about her power level?
*rageface* IT'S OVER 9000!!!!

Looks like Theramore is indeed toasty then.

Glad Christy is writing this, she's a good author and i liked her treatment of thrall and arthas.

I'm glad Christie Golden is doing an Alliance character book. We've gotten stuck with Richard "Can't Write a Character" Knaak a few too many times. Let Knaak ruin a Horde character for once.
Denaar Mar 24th 2012 11:44AM
Knaak isn't great, but at least his writing tends to read more like an actual novel instead of a Dick and Jane. I felt like I was reading an elementary school primer as I struggled through The Shattering. I didn't even bother with Arthas. Maybe one of these days Blizzard will ask a half decent author to write their books. Christie Golden is terrible.

@Denaar: Go ask your teacher to explain the difference between objective and subjective.

Hmmm, interesting.. she's drowning, and hair's turning white, from the shock/rage. So that's like Super Saiyan! Perhaps she's gonna shoot Pyroblasts at ALL THE THINGS? Hopefully Varian can't, or otherwise doesn't save her, so she's all alone fighting for her life - thus MOAR RAGE. Need moar mage assburning, thanks.

If the novel is meant to happen in a similar time frame as MOP, then wouldn't it be more likely this is depicting the ship wreck that Alliance visiting pandaland?
