It's also worth noting I suspect due to the fact she's underwater and there's debris around her, that perhaps that we are actually SEEING Theramore being destroyed in this picture.

I don't think her hair is actually white. If you ever have someone with light-blonde hair go into fairly murkey green water, such as that of a warf or the sea, their hair will often be distorted by sunlight and the water to appear white. THis usually happens about six to ten feet down.
