Mists of Pandaria Beta: New warlock pets

It should be noted that the sizes might be off; it's not an uncommon beta bug to have pet sizes be strange at first. No idea if this is intentional, though, so take the size with a grain of salt.
The new warlock pets are:
- Fel Imp (replaces the Imp when talented)
- Wrathguard (replaces the Felguard when talented)
- Voidlord (replaces the Void Walker when talented)
- Shivarra(replaces the Succubus when talented)
- Observer (replaces the Felhound when talented)
- Abyssal (replaces the Infernal when talented)
- Terrorguard (replaces the Doomguard when talented)
It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria, World of Warcraft's next expansion. Jump into five new levels with new talents and class mechanics, try the new monk class, and create a pandaren character to ally with either Horde or Alliance. Look for expansion basics in our Mists FAQ, or dig into our spring press event coverage for more details!Filed under: Warlock, Mists of Pandaria

warlocks seem to be getting much love in this expansion, will make sure to get my lock up to 85 before it arrives! Won't be replacing my priest as a main, but I will have all 10, (11 in MoP) at 85, so 2nd or 3rd alt won't be a bad position for my lock.

Curious, do they keep the same names or are they given new ones?
Kyloria Mar 23rd 2012 10:20AM
I'm wondering the same thing. My lock has been my main since I started playing, and LOVE demo. As hard as the names can be to pronounce, I've gotten used to my minions' names over the past 2 years (even seemed weird when the cata glitch reset the names at the beginning).
Just wish they could've picked something better that the tentacle eyeball monster for the felhunter. =/

Would like to know this too. The names in the screenie look of slightly different styles, though.

oh nice, glad Blizz found a way to re use demon models from 3 expansions ago . . .

These comments are getting old and tired. Bitching merely for the sake of bitching is not constructive and offers nothing other than to make yourself feel important for a second

So? I'd rather a thousand times see them use old demon models and spend that time working on new models for players or monsters in dungeons than make new models for only one class.
Besides, the crux of any RPG-style game is reused models with different colors. Play a Final Fantasy game and you'll see what I mean.

So, no incubus then? *sad*
VioletArrows Mar 23rd 2012 10:44AM
Meanwhile, now there's both Succubus and Shivarra. This is like the opposite of what we asked for. -_-*
(Watch someone will just say, but you got Wrathguards!)
Skarn Mar 23rd 2012 7:23PM
Yeah, but you got Terrorguards!
(amidoinitrite?)
Xantenise Mar 23rd 2012 10:16AM
Levelling a lock before MoP comes out so I'm familiar with the class again by the time it makes landfall!
silentbob1125 Mar 23rd 2012 6:43PM
Trying to get used to playing a warlock before MoP might be a bit futile at this point from the the looks of it locks are getting such an overhaul that even old hands at playing one might feel like they are starting from scratch not that I am complaining so far most all of these changes look great

kinda sad that the felhunter won't be a voidterror.
Bgrim Mar 23rd 2012 10:30AM
I am fine with most of them except the terror guard. I actually like the felpup more. its actualy my favorite pet.
Bgrim Mar 23rd 2012 10:31AM
i ment observer not terror guard.
Matt Mar 23rd 2012 10:36AM
Has anyone been able to get the 2 cooldown pets (Abyssal and Terrorguard) to attack when you summon them? When I summon them, they just follow me around...
elenia.osgood Mar 23rd 2012 10:41AM
Yay, we have new pets... Some of them dating back to burning crusade. How quaint.
Bynde Mar 23rd 2012 10:46AM
Excellent. I hate felhounds and the way they look. It's not scary or threatening it's just sort of confusing looking.
RetPallyJil Mar 23rd 2012 11:33AM
No incubus?
Fail, Blizzard ... fail. You DO have female players.
Revynn Mar 23rd 2012 12:04PM
The Incubus is coming with the male/female versions of demons which is an entirely different feature. These are upgrades to existing pets that you get access to if you choose a particular talent.
Blizz has already said that different gender demons are still on the table, just very low on the to-do list.
