The Queue: Orc monks best monks

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mathew McCurley (@gomatgo) will be your host today.
Orcs -- probably the best race for monks that you didn't consider.
Whacha!
durandal asked:
When Young Pandawans hit lvl 10 and leave their Wandering Isle, are they able to come back or do they share the same fate as the goblins of Kezan?
Durandal gets first question -- and before the cut, because he used the word "Pandawans," and at 10 in the morning, it was funny. Sadly, no, the Wandering Isle is off-limits once you leave, much like Kezan. There is always the chance that we will return one day.
loop_not_defined asked:
My issue with Garrosh dealing with demonic forces is that he gets VERY UPSET when he finds out someone did EXACTLY THAT in Ashenvale. Not "throw you off a cliff" upset, but still pretty damned angry.
As far as replacements, I'm hoping for Zaela (Dragonmaw) to take the reins. She's dealt with demonic influence before and could still provide plenty of controversy (since she kind of looks up to Garrosh). Fact of the matter is that Orgrimmar is the Orc home town, and Orcs are going to need a new racial leader. While I'm certain Vol'jin will be the one to end Garrosh's life (see: troll starting town), I doubt him or Baine will be the ones that step in to take over.
But please, don't bring back Thrall. D:
If Garrosh goes bonkers because of demons, it will not be because he took them into himself willingly, but rather because of his arrogance and misunderestimating the ability, scope, and danger demons possess. Garrosh will be tricked, or Garrosh will be forced into a corner and make a stupid decision. This will not be Mannoroth again. This will be hubris, desperate and unfortunate.
If Zaela became Warchief, I would be incredibly happy. She's one of my favorite characters from Cataclysm and represents a lot of what Garrosh stood for while being less volatile. And then, whoa, the Horde is led by a woman. I'll be honest, I thought that I'd see a female Warchief before a Mag'har Warchief ...
wiedmaier asked:
My life just got crazy and I unsubbed. I put almost everything I had on the AH in case I don't make it back until Pandamonium. My internet was out last night, and I didn't get a chance to get my mail before the account expired.
Does the 30 days for mail apply to unsubbed accounts? Will I need to resub within 30 days if I don't want to lose my items/gold?
Yep. I lost a Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok Chops like this. No joke. I should do another "biggest fail" Breakfast Topic soon ...
Murmel asked:
What Does the Pandaren Dance look like?
We do not know yet.
Thal asked:
Is Mr. Rossi playing the beta? (I bet he is.) If so, you know if he's planning on making a post about the new warrior abilities? I'm not playing the beta for several reasons, but I'm dying to know how the new mechanics and our sweet talents are working out!
Rossi and I talked this morning during our daily "Orc Chat in the Morning" Mumble radio show, and he made a pandaren warrior in the beta specifically to write about it. Expect it soon!
Boz asked:
Should I name my new Pandarin Cubbi, Gruffi, Zummi, or Tummi?
Tumtums.
alzeer asked:
why is Sylvanas undead form is soo perfect? no decay no rips shown like most other undeads
Maybe it's Maybelline.
Silversol said:
If Garrosh starts drinking demon blood, just... keep him away from Cenarius.
"Nooooooo, not again!"

6 - Missing a button - Corduroy

VioletArrows Mar 23rd 2012 11:52AM
It makes me sad that everyone automatically thinks Po when thinking of Kung fu master instead of Genma Saotome.
Boobah Mar 23rd 2012 11:58AM
@VioletArrows:
Well, naturally. SaotomeRyu is a form of kenpo, which is more karate than kung fu, what with the Okinawan origin.
Puntable Mar 23rd 2012 12:35PM
What? No Pedobear?
ravyncat Mar 23rd 2012 1:45PM
The first bear I thought of when I heard of Pandaria was Genma. ^^
I have never seen Kung-Fu Panda, but I rocked the hell out of Ranma !/2 manga and anime!
Draelan Mar 23rd 2012 2:48PM
I did manage to get most of them. I knew Teddy Ruxbin (had one as a
kid) but I absolutely couldn't remember his name until I saw the other
responses. I didn't know 9 or 11, though. 9 because I never did pay
much attention to Paddington, and 11 because... well... I STILL don't
know what it is! It better not have been Tinky Winky, because I don't
know what those things are, but they're not bears.
@ VioletArrows
I'll admit, the first thing that came to mind for me was Po from
Kung-fu Panda. But keep in mind that Kung-fu Panda is far more recent
than Ranma 1/2 (and, in fact, has a fairly new series going on now)
and it was better publicized to the general public than most
animes/manga are. (Since they generally get more focused advertising
to hit the groups they know like anime.)
But, if it makes you feel better, at least some of us knew exactly who
you meant when you mentioned it. =)
[NOTE] Attempt to post this number TWO, since the comment system randomly decided to try and force me to "confirm my email" despite having put in my password. Stupid comment system....

Many, many excellent guesses, and my kids would have been ashamed that I omitted The Berenstein Bears. My inner Otaku also regrets the omission of a Ranma 1/2 reference.
Regarding Tinkie Winkie; though technically we do not know what a Teletubby is, we can certainly agree that they are rotund, vaguely bear-like in appearance, soulless, evil, and probably the spawn of Satan.
Regardless, I hope you have all enjoyed this random quiz.
Happy gaming.

Has anyone in the beta tried out how the 8 second dispel works especially in PVE encounters? Also, for Blizzard's HGWT replacement of faster riding, do they still fly in stupid circles and zig-zags?
Nina Katarina Mar 23rd 2012 11:15AM
I suspect nobody has gotten a guild to a high enough level on beta yet to tell.
Cephas Mar 23rd 2012 11:32AM
The stupid circles and zig-zags aren't nearly as bad as they used to be (Pre-Cataclysm) because they don't have to avoid the unfinished areas anymore. The biggest waste of time now is making detours through intermediate flight points. I don't think Blizzard is going to maintain two separate tiers of flight path routes, it's much simpler for them to just increase the speed you travel along the existing routes. I'm not even sure if any of the guild perks are working at all right now, they all seem to have their increases or reduces modifiers set to zero.
Puntable Mar 23rd 2012 11:34AM
What did they change about dispels ... besides normalizing the cooldown to 8 seconds?
eel5pe Mar 23rd 2012 11:43AM
I think they wanted to make it so that offensive dispels would dispel ALL THE THINGS at once, but then put it on a good size cooldown (don't know where 8s came from, very possible I missed something). That way that you have to make a choice when you dispel, rather than the mage jump casting it while running away and laughing. Seriously. I hate that sound, it's my second least-favorite sound in PvP, after mana burn.
Puntable Mar 23rd 2012 12:52PM
Oh offensive dispels such as Purge, I have no idea. Isn't the Mage spell you are thinking of actually Spell Steal? I know my mage's dispel has a long cooldown. I always think defensive dispel when someone says 'dispel'.
spectres Mar 23rd 2012 11:11AM
So how are they incorporating the Monks in to the old starting areas?
