I might be wrong here as overlooking details is a way of life for me but wouldn’t Glyph of Combustion be a sizable damage increase on most fights? Of course it would depend on all the criteria but if we just look at the simplest Patchwerk type fight and try to expand it out from there perhaps we can get a baseline. Let’s assume a 10 second average from end of CD to cast for the stars to align. Also, with that assumption let’s say the first combustion is 10 secs into the fight. CotT = total uptime in seconds of combustion on the target. Unglyphed at 20 seconds into the fight you would have 10 CotT, at 85 sec 20 CotT; at 150 sec 30 CotT; at 215 sec 40 CotT; at 280 sec 50 CotT and at 345 sec 60 CotT. Glyphed at 30 seconds in 20 CotT; at 150 sec 40 CotT; at 270 sec 60 CotT. And this does not even take into account that if you prepot and pot during the fight 40 secs of combustion are under the effect when glyphed and only 20 when unglyphed.
