I don't really have a naming convention, at least not a consistent one. Sadly, for half of my tabletop gaming sessions, we didn't even bother to use names for our characters, at least not seriously. Bob The Fighter, Drizzle (drow twf ranger ofc), and Okay Fine I'll Play The Cleric This Time.
In WoW, my names are all over the place. From a variation on my long-held gaming handle Mycroft, Kegtotems for my dwarf shaman, to Beefprotpie for my tauren tankadin. Lately I've been naming new toons after in-game herbs, like Bloodthistle and Heartblossom. If it didn't cost so much money I'd try to rename all my toons with this scheme.
On another note, Chingchingpow is one letter too big from being a usable pandaren hunter name.
