My warlock has been my main since I started playing in 2008. I guess I'm in the minority on this, but I couldn't care less about green fire. I love the Warlock class, and while I understand why a Warlock would use green fire I would much rather Blizzard do something else with its time like implement female demons or the long-rumored demonic flying mount. Green fire is low on the list for me, personally. It's great for Blizzard to be listening to its players, don't get me wrong. But when it makes changes I feel should've been made years ago, I'm not going to start praising them. Even the upgraded demons, while nice, are models and skins of demons I've seen too many times in Outland. Again, it's nice for Blizzard to make those changes, but with the amount of time it took for the changes to happen I was really expecting more. I'm still waiting on some really nice surprise so I can say, "wow, that's really cool."

Green fire also takes a lot less time than any of those things. And it's a nice bit of polish they can give 'locks while their art team is hard at work on new player models.
But if you ever used an mpq edit/model viewer program to look into the files there are already graphics there for purple, blue and green fireballs, Incinerates, Rain of Fire and fire casting aura animations.Confused as to how it took so long...think Magi should get the option to have purple coloured fire and frost graphics seeing as all their spells are arcane in nature.

I'm the same way. We already have purple fire (shadowflame), red fire (Incinerate and soul fire), green fire (fel flame and chaos bolt), green lasers (drain life), blue lasers (drain soul), black balls of death (shadowbolt) and green balls of death (haunt). I don't see how having a grand total of two spells changed to green will be such a game changer. I know people have been asking for it and all, but I'd rather see updated demon models, an alternative Meta form or a warlock flying mount than a cosmetic change to Incinerate and Soul Fire. In any case, I hope the quest is repeatable or the effects reversible. It would be nice to change things up now and then.

If a legitimate warlock tanking spec hasn't made you say "wow, that's really cool" I'm not sure what else will.

While off and on, there have been warlock "dps rants", for the most part warlocks have only had a few requests;1) Fire that matches demon fire ( ala, green felfire)2) female/male demons3) flying mount4) ability to name or resummon for a different random nameit's not like they're huge changes, really. #2 would require some artwork, but they said that it was in process a while back and then dropped it. Some want a flying mount to be a dreadsteed with wings, but I'd have been happy with my dreadsteed flying like the headless horseman's.Felfire via a quest seems odd though. Hopefully it's a quest that unlocks a glyph or something, because being unable to switch back and forth seems to just be opening up a lot of potential complaints down the line. (Depending on how the green actually looks in game.)So yeah, it's not that it's a huge thing. It's just that it's a simple request that could have been implemented ages ago but wasn't. Then having the one spell that was green just made it oddly out of place.

I'll admit I never really understood the requests for male/female demons. Are we even sure that demons HAVE different genders? Assuming they do and the current ones are male I can't even imagine what a female voidwalker or felhound would look like.Genuinely curious, does the lore support demons having genders?

I think...this is the detail...Warlocks have a class specific mount...just like paladins. Which means...in order to give you guys a warlock specific flying mount...well...hands down they HAVE to give paladins a class specific mount too. That, may be harder than you think.

@Frank-potatoI've heard that argument before, but it doesn't hold up. First, classes are unique and just because class A gets something doesn't mean class B gets it too. But even more than that, Paladins have THREE class mounts. Most people seem to forget about the Argent Charger: http://www.wowhead.com/item=47179Paladins are in fact the only class to have three class-specific mounts. So if anything, Warlocks are the ones who "have" to get a new mount.

I do not play a warlock ergo i do not know for sure, but aren't most of the demons unisex? I mean the imp could be a boy or girl, felhunter could be boy or girl, the tanking demon you get at 10 could also be boy or girl, the succubus is a girl and i think felguard is a boy so i do not see why they would actually need to implement boy/girl demons unless I'm missing something.
