Breakfast Topic: What's the one thing you can't wait to find out about Mists?

There's been a huge amount of news coming out from the beta about Mists. We've heard about healing changes, lady pandaren emotes and floppy bangs, and where to hunt your pet warriors in Eastern Kingdoms.
But what are you waiting to see? What's the piece of news you're looking for every time a new Mists story appears? First and foremost, "that my beta invite has arrived" is not a response I will accept. I will track you down and glare sternly at you if you say that. I mean it. I'm on my way to glare at Daniel Whitcomb right now.
I want to hear what the thing is you're desperate to know. I really want to hear more about new PvP elements. Anyone who read my list of Mists PvP wishes will be familiar with what I'd love to see, and I'm hanging on Blizzard's every release hoping for PvP leveling information.
And I'd love to see the paladin talents reworked. They're looking kind of lackluster right now, a redistribution of existing talents, not filling me with excitement like talents for the other classes I play.
How about you? What are you on the edge of your chair hoping to see? And, of course, why?

@eel5pe:
I have just one thing to say to you.

If I had to choose just one of the many enticing aspects, I'm pretty anxious for the lore reveals.
Like what happens to Jaina once she goes super saiyan.
And what EXACTLY Garrosh is doing in terms of corruption under Orgrimmar.
zazumel Mar 27th 2012 8:26AM
Agreed....can't wait to see what happens with Jaina and Theramore.....should be interesting.

How the Lorewalkers will rework archeology. It is my favorite profession for it's potential alone, so I really want to see how they plan on changing it up.
Mike Mar 27th 2012 8:19AM
Thing I'm looking forward to the most? That would be killing Garrosh Hellscream. I've hated my time playing cata has horde, I've felt no pride in being horde well he's been warchief, and so its about time he was put down.

My main is a prot paladin, and what I've been reading on the forums makes me worry about how viable I'll be at level 85, the few weeks before the expansion comes out. I'm also dismayed at how our mastery hasn't really changed, and unless there's something new it looks like our rotation will be uninspiring and we've lost a raid cooldown. So I'm pretty anxious for them to take a look at my spec and reassure me that I won't be benched the second the pre-patch hits.

Not to harp on it, but I think it bears repeating- MMO champ has a lot of beta changes to classes. Protection didn't change a real lot. Crusader strike is being buffed, judging in prot will now grant holy power, all the seals look like they are being retuned, and hammer of the righteous is being reworked a little.

I really, really want to see how the crafting professions turn out. Not just the major ones, the new additions to cooking, archaeology, fishing. Farm fishing? Three specialties for cooking? New archaeology finds and a daily? These are just a few bits and pieces I'm reading and would LOVE to find out more about. As many know, my characters (all of them) tend to rp fish and food merchants. My pandaren will be no exception, just more bouncy as she does it.
I would also like to see how the healing monk is handled in the 85-90 range. Right now, from all the videos and news feeds I'm seeing, the monk class's healing spec is looking right interesting. Does it remain so, or is it like the mid-healing range and just kind of taper off? Are they all AoE's you lay down, or are there some heals you just straight heal with?

I know it's a long, long, long shot, but I'd very much like to get updated voice files for the original races, particularly the gnome male. Nothing ruins a good time like hearing that shrill cackle when I /lol, and playing the game on mute is massively un-fun.
Option B: extend the Transmog concept to voice files (and while you're at it, hairstyles too). Sure, you'd suddenly have hundreds of big blue trannies working Goldshire on Moon Guard, but you'd also give players a chance to have their character sound more like a fierce, dragon-slaying/riding warrior than a ventriloquist's doll.
Noyou Mar 27th 2012 8:49AM
Different options for voices would be cool. Unrealistic perhaps, but cool. Since I am drinking coffee, what about someday being able to update/customize your toon from battlenet. I would even pay a little extra for that. Maybe like a flat $10-20 for unlimited customization for a month with a 90 day CD or something. So you can play around with how your toon wants to look/act.

I'm really interested in how priests are going to play - both as shadow and as disc. I've seen the new shadow orb tracker-thingie, but haven't really heard anything about how it will play out.
I'm also wondering how the constant mana-pool thing will work for healers. Am I going to be shelving disc in favour of shadow yet again because they put all the pressure on the healers' backs? I did not like the healing revamp for Cata, although I am loving healing again now at the end of the expansion.
John Mar 27th 2012 8:52AM
Well, Blizz has said that dungeons should not be hours-long slogs (a la Grim Batol 2 weeks after Cata release), so they can't be going back to the utter failure that was heroics at Cata launch or tier 11 (aka - the Tier that Killed Guilds and Devoured a Million Subs). That means that maybe healers will have to manage a crucial cooldown or a dispel now and again in between staying out of fire and, of course, healing.
The revamp of shadow is needed, and hopefully they keep it fun and competitive dps.
But yeah, the facts that priest talents came out last and that the L87 spell is as uninspiring as life grip (spectral guise? why not something really cool like shaman's ascendance or warrior avatar etc. etc.) make me wonder about changing mains now that mounts will be account-wide (if the only reason you're playing your old main is because he has the coolest mounts, that is a bad sign :) ).

Honestly, the cartographer in me is super curious to find out where Pandaria is on the map.
wow Mar 27th 2012 8:41AM
From all accounts, Pandaria will be on the southern section of the map. Think "Southrend" :) But, I am curious as to the exact placement of the continent.
Shinanji
MikeLive Mar 27th 2012 8:43AM
I know it's on the south, but indeed my curious is exact, and how other southern islands (placeholders on the current map) will be adjusted. There's also an island on the minimap texture that's clearly not part of any named zone and also not in the right place nor size as the Zandalari-controlled island previously discussed, and I'm curious about that one too.
Noyou Mar 27th 2012 8:49AM
Add to that- how we get to and from the new island. I'm guessing ports but where? What other ports might we get. New portals, etc. All the logistics stuff. I am a little jelly that the horde gets to be taxied around on a big old hot air balloon. I want my balloon ride too, without changing allegiances.

Found this.

@midwestartist1
That's a fake map somebody mad back after BlizzCon, supposing the "southrend" description as we all figured anyway.
Vesity Mar 27th 2012 8:30AM
I'm Looking forward to the possibility of all my level appropriate toons being able to sport my titles from achievements, whenever account-bound-achievements hits the game. At least, I hope it ends up working that way!
L_fetcu Mar 27th 2012 8:31AM
Mi personal piece(es) of information that makes me refresh wow-insider's page every 5 minutes are as follow(in no particular order):
1). More disc and shadow priest information (shadow ravens?)
2). More info on Rogues
3). More info on destruction/demon locks.
4). WTB world PVP !!!! (OK, OK... some bg info too).
5). More on war, DK and MONK tanking.
The reasons? Easy! this is what I am looking for in MOP.
Now you know what I play :))))
