Maybe I missed this, but is this moving to 5-mans too? I primarily get my gear from JP/VP right now. I've been trying to get a trinket upgrade for 3 weeks so I can finally get into LFR, but it's just not happening. If they take away my "magic item vendors" for 5-mans, and still allow random gear drops for 5-mans, aren't we just back to the old system? I really thought this system worked well. Because after 3 weeks of trying to get my stupid trinket, I have enough VP to just buy the 397 trinket. My odds of getting any specific piece of gear in heroics seem pretty low. First I'm randomly assigned a heroic (I could queue for a specific one, but then I lose out on my JP/VP). Because we have so many heroics these days it's like a 1/10 chance you even end up in the right dungeon. Then you have to hope that your group doesn't disband halfway through. Then your actual gear has to drop. And you have to win the roll. (Hopefully it's not auto-needed by everyone who can). They say they're mitigating this with iLvl upgrades. Which might be ok, though I'm skeptical of the sorts of upgrades that will be possible. Especially for weird items like trinkets.I just hope that they don't screw over 5-mans in their quest to improve LFR.

IL scaling, trinkets included, has already been robustly implimented. See RF, Normal, Heroic mode items in DS.
