Am I the only person that doesn't just not care about WoW-emon, but is actually annoyed they're spending time on something like it?
3-27-2012 @ 8:55PM
No, there are lots of selfish d-bags who try to drag everyone else down with them.

As a Horde player, I'm not particularly interested in Alliance questing zones. Does that mean they shouldn't put any in the game?

And so continues the trend of downvoting minority opinions, while upvoting those that insult said minority opinions. Xeno's post was valid and not douchebaggy in the least. We may not agree with him, but that's what opinions are for right?I would rather that Blizz devote Pet Battle manhours to, say, green warlock fire, but I'm still looking forward to WoWemon. Doesn't mean I need to downvote xeno.

I don't care about PvP. Should I be annoyed they spend time on that? Or how about archeology?Ignore the parts of the game you don't like. Simple as that.

He wasn't downvoted for having a minority opinion, he was downvoted for thinking his is the only opinion that matters. If you don't like the Pet Battle system, that's fine. Feel free to say so and even explain why. However, don't assume that because "I" don't like something the developers shouldn't "waste" time or energy on it. There are 10 million other players out there and a lot of them are very excited to have something to do at end game besides raiding and dailies, especially since something like 80% of the playerbase has never set foot into a raid while it was current. Do they not deserve development time?WoW NEEDS something like this. You can only roll so many alts, get so many achievements and do so many random dungeons before the game just gets obnoxiously boring.

@RevynnHis opinion is the only one that matters? He thinks everyone should think as he does? I didn't get that vibe at all. I think you're posting about something that's not even there. And Xeno didn't say they shouldn't be spending development time on it. He just wishes they weren't. It's a very clear distinction.P.S. DAMN YOU COMMENT SYSTEM!! *shakes fist at the unfeeling heavens*

Blizz's devs are spending time on stuff you like i'm sure, but you shouldn't expect them to only spend time on things you may enjoy. You have to understand you're not Blizz's only customer type. The type of players in WoW run the gamut of player types and desires.
3-27-2012 @ 10:26PM
Yes, that's exactly what he's saying. To say "I don't care about it and they shouldn't be spending time on it" is to completely disregard the opinions of everyone who DOES care about it, and there is clearly a lot of people who do. I don't care about PvP, but the people who do care about PvP are paying their $15 a month just like I am and their opinion about balance and the state of the game is just as important as mine so it would be selfish of me to be annoyed that they're spending time and energy trying to balance PvP or developing a new battleground that I will likely NEVER set foot in. I couldn't care less about Leatherworking. By virtue of that, should they remove Leatherworking from the game or not spend time refining it to make it less painful to level? I have no desire to ever spec Ret on my Paladin again. Does that mean Blizzard should ignore the Retribution tree completely and tell every Ret Pally to go respec, reroll or GTFO? Of course not, because my opinion isnt the only one that matters.

I'm confused, he said he 'doesn't just not care'. Isn't that a double negative, and mean he does care?
3-27-2012 @ 11:13PM
@akusa_fox: "I'm confused, he said he 'doesn't just not care'. Isn't that a double negative, and mean he does care""Doesn't" modifies "just," not "not." In other words he doesn't ONLY not care, he is ALSO annoyed the developers are spending time on it.

He was downvoted because people disagreed with him more than agreed with him by a wide margin. His opinion is an unpopular one not representing the majority view of this community. Plain and simple. If you can't take it, find a community that agrees with you.
