Actually, what do you need flight paths for to find mailboxes? Almost anywhere that has a flight path you can hop on will have a mailbox and a repair guy or two. While you will have to run all over the place, quest hubs should always be fairly close by. I loved the pre-flight questing in Vanilla, BC and Wrath. I think it's a great choice for Mists. (Oh and remember that you can fly in Pandaria at level 90.)
