100,000 beta invites on their way for Annual Pass subscribers

Good news everybody!
100,000 beta invites are on their way for annual pass subscribers. Bashiok let us know late this evening. Expect this to take some time for them all to get out, so you might not be getting it right way (if you do get in this round). Keep in mind that the best way to verify beyond a doubt if you get in is to check your Battle.net account, and be on the lookout for any hacker emails.
Bashiok's full announcement is as follows:

Bashiok's full announcement is as follows:
We appreciate that everyone who signed up for the Annual Pass is genuinely excited about seeing the new content and helping us test it for release. We definitely want to get all Annual Pass holders into the beta test as soon as humanly (and technologically) possible.
To do so, we need to make sure that our new systems remain stable as we add players. If we let everyone in at the exact same time, we risk damaging the stability of the service, and then no one would be able to play. We can't let everyone in at the same time; however, all Annual Pass holders will be invited before any opt-ins.
We're in the process of sending 100,000 invites to Annual Pass holders, and we recommend keeping an eye on your email and Battle.net account for an invite to come explore Pandaria.
Rest assured that we WILL get all of our Annual Pass holders into the beta test. Thank you for the passion and support you've shown for the game, and please be patient with us as we continue driving hard toward finishing up Mists of Pandaria and getting it into your hands as quickly as possible.

Two of my friends are already in--they had to check their Battle.net accounts, as they got no emails (as yet). They both started playing on day 1--I figure it'll be awhile at that rate for me, since I started in October '06.

Doesn't matter how long you have been playing. It matters on when you signed up for the ANNUAL plan.
People that have been playing since release have been passed over for a beta, while someone new to the game get it.

@Drak Blizz is taking into account how old your account is to determine when you get in. From Bashiok: "Annual Pass is a guaranteed entry, there is no consideration made beyond cumulative subscription time and when the Annual Pass was purchased."

I got in. Strangely, I couldn't log on to the servers or post in the Beta forums until I copied over a character, despite it saying I was in on my Bnet. Oh well. Fluke of the system. :)
Oh and, for references' sake: I've been an active sub since 01/05, and got the AP as soon as it was available.

I've been here since classic, signed up for annual early on, but not right away. Maybe a week out.
Not in Beta yet.
Seems to me that its only looking at when you signed up - or I'd have been in the first round given the age of my account.

Is there a difference between the two US realms, Lost Isles (US) and Gilneas (US)?
zaver88 Mar 29th 2012 11:54PM
One's PvE and the Other's PvP
Drakkenfyre Mar 29th 2012 11:55PM
PVP, PVE.
Domintal Mar 29th 2012 11:59PM
Lost Isles is PVE, Gilneas is PVP.
Alzor Mar 30th 2012 12:10AM
Great! Thanks for the heads-up!
elendae Mar 30th 2012 1:11AM
Gilneas is PVE, not PVP.
Snuzzle Mar 30th 2012 11:27AM
So, which is really which? Neither seems to say pve or pvp on the realm screen. I made a character on Lost Isles and haven't gotten autoflagged yet.

What the hell is going on?
Hollow Leviathan Mar 29th 2012 11:43PM
Hey, I'm a person. Better check my b.net account 100,000 times!
Nathanyel Mar 30th 2012 12:48AM
As if you hadn't already in the last week.

Account active since January 2007, signed up for the Annual Pass on the first day of Blizzcon - nothing yet. I guess I'll check again in about thirty seconds...

I DID ask if Wow Insider was going to tell us if they got wind of it. And you gave me the runaround. How hard would it have been to say yes.
Brett Porter Mar 30th 2012 4:06PM
@Katherine -
...wut? They did get wind of it. When everyone else did, by the posting of a blue on the forums. If there is something leakable given to them by Blizzard but Blizzard doesn't want them to leak it, they won't. Plain and simple.
(I'm assuming you're upset that WI "had to have known" when the next round was coming out and they should have told you when that was. If I'm wrong, I apologize, but that's kinda what your statement sounds like, to me at least.)
The Wanderer Apr 1st 2012 9:45PM
@Brett Porter:
I understood her to mean that she asked "When you find out, will you let us know?", and they gave an evasive answer - not about whether they already knew, but about whether they would let us know once they did find out.
Here, they did find out about it, and they did let people know - so now she's asking "Why couldn't you have just said 'yes' when I asked before?".
Or something like that.

Definitely excited! Time to spam my F5 key.
