I have the opposite opinion to what seems to be the majority of the WoW community:
I think that a caster without robes or kilts and a nice long cloak is not a caster.
If said caster is also a Priest, they shall wear a cowl.
If not, they shall wear a pointy hat.

Maybe I'm too obsessed with the Gandalf/Merlin/etc "Wizard" archetype.
