They're the original player models from Alpha.

They are used, actually, in Caverns of Time: Hillsbrad Foothills and a few of them are used in the DK Starting Zone. They have next to zero animations, and the clothes are part of the model. Very, very low poly and low texture. Go visit Hillsbrad in CoT and zoom in on one.

All the classes are represented. Warlock, Priest, Paladin, etc. I don't think you would have been able to change anything other than a couple head choices, though.
