Last night, we were treated to a
beta patch with a bunch of new information, files, items, and more. The brand new character creation screen has gotten some major improvements, and the male pandaren are getting many new skin color and texture options, ranging from older and gray looks to a few red panda color schemes borrowed from the females. Suffice to say, there are a lot of color and fur options for new pandaren players. Check out the gallery of male pandaren fur and skin color choices below.
It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria
, World of Warcraft's
next expansion. Jump into five new levels with new talents and class mechanics, try the new monk class, and create a pandaren character to ally with either Horde or Alliance. Look for expansion basics in our Mists FAQ, or dig into our spring press event coverage for more details!

I think it's simply adorable that you guys think there was no consideration of Kung Fu Panda I or II when this idea of 'Mists' was in development. (BTW, KFP II came out in 2011).
Don't ever change your innocent ways. It's refreshing to see.

So is the only body type "lumpy potato"?

That'll be the day when we get to choose body type within one gender of one race.

I'd be happy with even subtle variation. I mean, a panda with gastric bypass would look completely out of character, but it's not realistic for them all to be the exact same body type. Of course, it's hard to build animations that look good to begin with, let alone build them for multiple body types.

I understand that. However art promoted by Blizzard has shown them having tails: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/2299143 So I thought it was a fair comment on an open forum.
I'm sorry my comment apparently pissed you off. I'll shut up now.
