I added another picture to the gallery for people asking about male pandaren tails. All male pandaren have a nubby tail that is their appropriate skin color where you would expect it to be, much like a regular bear.

Oh, bother. :-/Less sexual dimorphism, please. (I think goblins win at looking the most alike between sexes.)

I totally agree, Shinae. I don't think it's a bad thing for the male and female models to look somewhat similar. In fact, they should look similar. All you have to do to make one more feminine than the other is to soften the hard edges a bit and make tiny adjustments. And, body-wise, I think the boobs pretty much do that trick. It's not exactly difficult to tell the difference between the male and female Pandaren, based on body alone. Or, most other races. I personally really dislike the nose and mouth area of the female Pandaren that we have so far. I don't want it to change, I would just like the -option- to change it, though. I'd like to have actual customization of the face, the way we do goblins, gnomes, humans, orcs, etc. I want to be able to change her expression, the shape of her muzzle, her eyes, and all that. It's not a new thing, it's what we have with most other races, so it seems like something to expect. But, we didn't get that with the Worgen and I fear we won't with the Pandaren either, although I really really hope we do. An old friend of mine is staying at my house and she plays wow, too. She brought up how the male muzzle looks so much more panda-like than the female's. And, how with the female face being so different than the male's already, why couldn't we just have an option to change her muzzle? Or, several options. Something like this: http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r620/pandarenpics/pandaren2.pngThat's just the male's muzzle copy and pasted onto the female's face. Nothing else has been done or tweaked. It's slightly blended to make the colors match and that's all. You can easily see the difference between the two. Now, I'm not saying we should change the female's current face. I know some people like it and I'm totally cool with that. But, could we have options such as this? Most other classes do, you know? I definitely still feel like even with that second muzzle, she looks feminine and you can tell she's the female. I'd just really really like to hear from the designers and artists and get their thoughts on this sort of thing. It would be awesome to have an open discussion.

I like that tweaked image tulipblossom. It's very subtle. I had to look close to tell a difference. It sure doesn't change the femininity of the Pandaren by having that male muzzle.

The whole sexual dimorphism thing makes me think if Blizzard did a Star Wars game with Wookiees as a playable race, the female Wookiees would be hairless and have a huge rack and be about 3 feet shorter than the males, plus a tinier curvier face(like FemPandarens). Come on Blizzard, you don't have to go all the way to 100 on the Dimorphism scale for us to recognize that they're female. Tone it back to about 50. We see boobs, we see curves, we see female. You don't have to do everything else too.

I just wish we would finally get male models for Blood Elfs. I mean its been two expansions and we have male and female for every other race. One of those settings on the creation screen should have a male option by now.I like the panda models too.

Wow, the shopped one looks so much better then the original face. That looks like it would be super-easy to do, just flatten the top of the snout some and wide the nose a bit. We'll have see if there are more face options, but I think Blizz would be stupid to not do that.

The other sad thing? It looks like Blizz thinks marking passes for faces now. They did it with female worgen, and now both genders of pandaren. It wouldn't be so bad if the "faces" option changed the eyes or nose, but it doesn't. Bleh!

Thanks so much, RogueJedi86. I really appreciate that. And, I completely agree with what you said about taking it back a bit on the scale. Sometimes it really feels like all or nothing and that's just not logical. A happy medium would be fantastic. "The other sad thing? It looks like Blizz thinks marking passes for faces now. They did it with female worgen, and now both genders of pandaren. It wouldn't be so bad if the "faces" option changed the eyes or nose, but it doesn't. Bleh!" Totally agree with that sentiment as well, Snuzzle. You guys both hit the nail on the head, I think.
