Mists of Pandaria Beta: Watch the Alliance intro to Pandaria
The Alliance introduction is metered and well played out. I like the focus back on the Horde and Alliance conflict -- it feels like an old friend you haven't seen in a long time but can quickly pick up the conversation with again. Suffice to say, I'm liking this brand of cinematic storytelling over the Uldum type any day.
It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria, World of Warcraft's next expansion. Jump into five new levels with new talents and class mechanics, try the new monk class, and create a pandaren character to ally with either Horde or Alliance. Look for expansion basics in our Mists FAQ, or dig into our spring press event coverage for more details!Filed under: Mists of Pandaria

I wish they used the same technique they used for the Goblin and Worgen cutscenes. Cannot wait to play this but man these ones are so cheesy haha.

"Sir, they're firing at us!"
"Make sure to circle around and give them as many opportunities to shoot us down as possible!"
"Aye, captain!"
[gunfire]
"They got me!"
"Good job, Lieutenant!"
[gunfire]
"Arrrgggh, me too!"
"Excellent, Corporal! Now that everyone's dead we can get out of the ship's firing range for a crash landing."

Nailed it. It is Spaceballs-grade ridiculous.

Wow! Good thing there was a Quest-giver there!

Anduin seems to get kidnapped or something similar like, every other week.
Any relation to Princess Peach?

Or Corki?

Damnit, Corki!

Seems to be more complete than the Horde experience: very cool both of them). I agree with those who think these cutscenes are superior to Uldum: I hope they get voice-actors though...

Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth getting a speaking role is great.
It's so jarring to see a night elf doing things like using holograms and flying bombers. I kind of wish the guy had been a gnome. Gnomes could use some love.
That damaged plane slamming itself into the Horde ship was epic. I almost - ALMOST - want them to put in some orcs screaming "INCREASE FORWARD CANNON FIRE!" and "TOO LATE!" before it hits.

Seeing Taylor get a promotion to Admiral was pretty awesome. After Vashj'ir, the man more than deserves it.

He do have a real bad luck tough, wrecking a ship over each xpac...

Wait a minute... that's former Cpt. Taylor? If so that's so goddamn awesome! I loved Taylor, easily one of the best Alliance NPCs.

Ahaha! Finally a map of where Pandaria is located, turns out, on Sylvanas' left shoulder! I should have known!

Someone said it in the Horde Cutscene post, but it bears repeating:
Those are the least stealthy stealth bombers ever.

Epic.

I'm Varian! I'm angry! I smash all my toys!

Is it me or did anyone else notice the woman in the first scene wearing a Kul'Tiras tabard?
Omegan01 Mar 30th 2012 1:41AM
It's Theramore, actually (the Theramore tabard is the same as Kul Tiras' but with white backing instead of green).
The woman in question is Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth, and she's been around since vanilla. About bloody time she got some attention.

The only place I've ever seen actual Kul-Tiras tabards in game are at Tiragarde Keep in Durotar, although these days only the corpses wear them; the live soldiers there now wear Theramore's livery.
