Wow, the tauren and spacegoat totems are crying somewhere in a corner!
Olania Mar 29th 2012 1:48AM
Speaking as a spacegoat, I like my totems.
snarkygoldfish Mar 29th 2012 1:48AM
Speaking as another spacegoat, I wish they'd be brought up to the same level of polish the new ones have. ;)

Speaking as a third spacegoat, I love my totems, but I wouldn't be adverse to them being spruced up. But I do like the minimalist look to them. We don't need whirlyboppers and whatnot to get it done. Just a few floating stones.

I always thought the Draenei totems looked kind of like Digimon eggs. Don't know if that's much solace to you or not.
snarkygoldfish Mar 29th 2012 3:29AM
@Kyle - Oh, I definitely agree. I'd love to see them have that minimalist, with just a flash of crystal aesthetic that most Draenei architecture / themed things seem to have. Give them a really good pottery / stone feeling and texture. Elegant, deliberately sculpted, simple. :)

Yeah, I love my Draenai totems too. They're my favorite totem model.
Riari Mar 29th 2012 12:35PM
Awww but I love my draenei totems. There shouldn't be too much done to them. They're like night lights sometimes. :) Also I like how minimalist they are.
Amy Schley Mar 29th 2012 1:52PM
Notice no one says "Ooh, I love my Tauren totems!"
The model itself isn't that bad, but it is both plain and frankly, boring after eight years (six of those years being the only totem model at all).
Boobah Mar 29th 2012 4:02PM
@Amy
The only Horde totem model for six years; Draenei have always had unique totems. That's why there's a discussion of how to tell Horde and Alliance pandaren totems apart upthread.

Love them! Definetly considering rolling a panda shamy, maybe MoP will finally be the time for me to stick to a shamy and not deleting them after a few lvls
eirinefrostblade Mar 29th 2012 7:26AM
Same here. I'd been thinking shaman for my pandaren, but I've yet to level one past 30...
Pam Mar 29th 2012 8:38AM
Add me to the "lvl 22 is the highest I have gotten a Shammy" club. I look forward to the "I have a max level Shammy" club in MoP.

These are nice with lots of detail, but because I do not really like the choice, the details are secondary. Why? Fire looks nice - like a bright flame! Alas, water looks like a blue flame, not very watery. Earth looks like a green flame, again, not very earthy. Air looks like a cotton candy machine.
I totally agree with the above poster who thinks ally pandas should have a blue cord.
Blizzard painted themselves into a corner when they did the Goblin totems :-) How can you beat that??
Trickk Mar 29th 2012 5:51PM
I suspect the water totem will like fine once we see the actual animation. Earth would look sweet imo if they added an animation similar to the landslide enchant. As for Air, gimme some lightning! But aside from that as you pointed out, yes the models look fantastic.

I rolled a troll shammy a couple months ago with the full intention of race changing her into a panda (I did the same thing with a draenei-to-dwarf shammy back before Cataclysm). I'm glad to see my decision validated by these excellent totems.
Shoikler Mar 29th 2012 2:22AM
Maybe it's just the angle, but to me, all four elements look like flames coming out the top; consequently, they look like they're a set of novelty lighters.
Snuzzle Mar 29th 2012 6:26AM
New from Zippo...
Edymnion Mar 29th 2012 9:28AM
Nah, they're just really, REALLY high proof.
Kia Mar 29th 2012 3:17AM
...Those aren't kegs, they're lanterns. Why the hell does everyone keep saying kegs?
