Mists of Pandaria Beta: Male pandaren hairstyles gallery

My personal favorite pandaren haircuts are the wild ones that make every pandaren dude look like a guy you went to college with. You know him. You know him.
It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria, World of Warcraft's next expansion. Jump into five new levels with new talents and class mechanics, try the new monk class, and create a pandaren character to ally with either Horde or Alliance. I think that they're just not implemented yet, so we'll have to wait and see.

I think it's more that they wanted to make sure they got a good reaction to the model design before they went out and made a heap of different faces.

It would appear that both genders have opted for the "different markings and eyes but not different facts" philosophy.

I really really hope, in time, we'll see face options like we have with every other race, except the Worgen. I think markings and embellishments are great, but they're definitely not enough. Take the night elves, for example. They can change their actual face/features, but they also have markings, ears(embellishments like jewelry) and skin color. I feel like Pandaren could easily the same things. They only gave us one face with the Worgen and I'm pretty sure that's why the female Worgen thing turned into such a big deal. If there had been options for the face, then that would've been different. But, to only be given one face is really not fun.
I can't imagine them making the same mistake that they did with the Worgen a second time. But, who knows. It seems silly, though, that all of the older races have options to change their face (as in features and expressions), but the Worgen did not and now the Pandaren may not. Yet, Goblins could. It's just confusing. I know that the staff at Blizzard are capable of amazing things, so it can't be that it's just too hard to give different faces for beastly races. I just can't fathom that.
I'm just trying to stay hopeful that players are being heard, regarding this issue and that we'll see something positive, as the beta progresses. Even if ears just affected facial features, the way they do in Goblins, that would be acceptable. As long as I can change my female's muzzle, man. The male's is so perfect and already designed and in the game, so why not slap that on the female and make it a second option? Seems easier than designing a whole new one, even. I have my fingers crossed!

Dude, I look like one of the Pandaren with my current hairstyle and beard. I'm scared.
(It's the goatee and the crew-cut look)

Are all male pandaren stuck with the porno stache?
Dementron Mar 30th 2012 11:39PM
This is only showing off the hairstyles and colors. As with the previous customization galleries, the other options are generally left untouched. So, this is all the same panda, it's just his hair and color that are changing. There's a whole gallery just for the male pandaren facial hair. The mustache is optional, and there are several different mustache styles.

No, they just didn't change it for these hair photos. For the facial hair gallery, see http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/03/29/mists-of-pandaria-beta-male-pandaren-facial-hair-gallery/

Good, I heard about the pandaren only having one face and was a little concerned about seeing the same mustache on every pandaren's face.
Ronin Mar 30th 2012 11:49PM
I see a fair number of different colors, but only about 5 different hairstyles. I wonder if the have more in the pipeline?

Did anyone else look to see the author after reading the title? I was expecting WI's resident hair care maestro
