Unfortunately for me, Dragon Soul did not deliver as an epic end-of-the-expansion raid.I usually don't trash talk on anything Blizzard does cause I love WoW and have been playing it for years and most of it I have really enjoyed. But not this raid. Here are my problems with it:1. It's very, very easy. The guild and I are not by any means exceptional raiders, we manage to do a heroic mode or two in each tier but not much more. We cleared normal mode Dragon Soul in a week or two. Compared to the several weeks-to-months it took for t11/t12 and previous tiers.2. It's repetitive. Because of LFR, everyone is raiding the same bosses at least twice per week (usually more because of alts). Or at least were in the beginning of the patch. This had the same effect as Trial of the Crusader on our raiding team. Lots and lots of burnout, very quickly.3. It's too short. Only 8 bosses means that once you have it on farm status, you'll clear it in 2 hours and only have alt raiding to do for the rest of the week (which goes back to problem 2).4. It did not feel epic. Sure, visually, the last 2 encounters with Deathwing in them did indeed look epic. But did they feel epic? I don't think so. Everything was cleared so quickly, by everyone, either in normal mode or LFR that it felt like Deathwing just kinda tumbled over. Not that we had defeated him within an inch of our lives, full of sweat and short of breath. We had Icecrown Citadel for a year, but because everything wasn't available right away it didn't feel like we just got in there and immediately oneshot everything. It was a slow progression march towards the end.5. Lackluster encounter design.Bosses can be fun even when they are easy, if there's some interesting mechanics going on. And of course will also prevent them from being too easy. Most bosses in Dragon Soul requires you to react to one thing and then just stand still and dps/heal. That's not very interesting... Go back to Firelands or t11 and you will see that you need to run all over the place still. I have witnessed people who do great in Dragon Soul to fail horribly in t11 and even cause wipes.
