World of Warcraft Mega Bloks season 1 revealed

Faction packs include Ironoak the night elf, Ragerock the orc, Valoren the blood elf, and the ever-exciting and fancily named Colton the human paladin. Mount packs include Swift Gryphon with worgen rider, Goblin Trike with goblin rider, Flying Machine with gnome pilot, and Swift Wyvern with tauren rider. There are also three other larger sets, including the Lich King and Sindragosa, Demolisher Attack Horde versus Alliance, and the Goblin Zeppelin.
However, my favorite set of them all (and proof that the folks over at Mega Bloks play World of Warcraft, are Warcraft fans, and understand the nature and feel of this game) is The Barrens Chase Set. The Barrens Chase set is the quintessential WoW setup -- dorky night elf riding his cat in hot pursuit across The Barrens, chasing the most awesome orc on the planet, riding a rocket. This is World of Warcraft at its best.
Check out all of the new sets in our gallery, and look for them in stores soon.

Lego licensed Star Wars and earlier this year, Lord of the Rings. Those LotR sets are gonna be amazing.
Dekota Mar 31st 2012 12:45AM
That's true. I do like the LOTR set. Those are looking pretty shiny. STARWARS? ..as much of a starwars nut as I am... I'm tired of seeing recycled SW lego sets. How many different Star Destroyers and AT-ATs and AT-STs have we seen so far? xD I would have been so happy to see Lego get HALO. THAT would have been epic. I just can't stand how Mega Blocks look. There are some nice looking pieces in this wow set. It's an improvement over the previous sets (Like the HALO sets that looked HORRIBLE) but.. come on.. It should have been Lego >
Zapwidget Mar 31st 2012 1:45AM
"Those LotR sets are gonna be amazing."
Yep, they'll be amazaing, and as soon as you take it out of the box and place it next to any other LEGO toy you'll realize that the only difference between LEGO LotR and LEGO Castle Collection is the packaging on the box.
LEGO toys are LEGO toys with a licensed brand. Take away the logo and they're all the same. Mega Bloks toys are the licensed toy made by Mega. That's why Mega Bloks licensed products look like the licensed product.

Have to agree with Dekota, I was disappointed when I found out they were going with Megacrap. Lego is so much better. I know, I know Lego probably never approached Blizzard. I just wish that Blizz had said NO THANK YOU, or polled the community on the matter.
Sorry, but bias or not these sets look awful.
Bionic Radd Mar 31st 2012 6:22PM
Siding with Zapwidget, here. If Lego had done this, it would look like Lego Castle sets with Horde and Alliance Logos all over everything. This actually looks like Warcraft stuff done in a Mega Bloks style.
Dekota Mar 31st 2012 8:33PM
@Bionic Radd
If LEGO made the Warcraft sets with the kind of detail that goes into the Neighborhood sets, It would be amazing! They wouldn't be made of flat plates with stickers. I suppose the issue with that is the Neighborhood sets are more targeted for the adult collectors that can pay for that kind of detail. More detail requires more bricks which in turn costs more. So.. Would the Warcraft sets be targeted towards them and carry the $200 price tag, or look like the Ninja crap that's targeted toward the 12 year olds with the $29 price tag? =/
bunniesnbuggies Mar 30th 2012 9:39PM
I wish there were at least ONE female character in these sets :(
Matthew Mar 30th 2012 10:38PM
I don't trust what would happen to her.
Dementron Mar 30th 2012 11:34PM
I think they wanted to make all the body parts interchangeable, but yeah, I feel the same way. :/
andrey.pkk Mar 31st 2012 1:57PM
SINDY IS A FEMALE!!!!
Don't hurt her feeling just because she's dead
