I'd imagine it would be much like what the average person knows about his or her country's history. For example, almost every American child knows that Lincoln freed the slaves, and Columbus discovered America, but how many know the deeper truths? I'm sure the average orc knows that Thrall helped free their people and who broke the blood curse, but as far as deeper than that, I would doubt it.
