My thought too. Frankly, I think that healing on a paladin is more straightforward and simple than any other class, especially in raids these days. This seems absurd to me - surely the priest should be the most direct! And to top it off, we're often stronger healers to boot. Now, we'll be getting a better version of Prayer of Healing, one of our few decisions to make taken away with adjustments to holy shock, and an interesting mechanic in LoD taken away as well.
I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but we've already had it too good, especially the past tier. I feel like we've been eating the resto specs' lunches when it comes to raid healing - raid wide divine radiance is like a "you win" button in comparison to on a cool down, nerfed wild growth and limited target chain heal, and it owns PoH.
So I don't see these changes as needful, unless there will be a corresponding nerf. Maybe removing the total target number on LoD but keep the cone, but otherwise, were we really looking for this? Computer says no.
