Server maintenance extended to 3:00 p.m. PDT

The screenshot says it all, folks. Maintenance has been extended until 3:00 p.m. Pacific daylight time, which is 6:00 p.m. Eastern for those of you on the east coast (7:30 pm if you live in Newfoundland, according to the comments). Not much else to say there. We have a whole lot of stuff to read while you're waiting patiently (or impatiently, if you live in Newfoundland) for the servers to come up. Those databases don't do process updates to themselves.
My wife's from Newfoundland, in case you were wondering why I'm making so many references to it. I've always found it fascinating that it has so much history. I'm basically going to be reading about Newfoundland (and Labrador, too) during my time away from the game.

I'm glad you have finally provided the time zone for Newfoundland also. ;) Though you did get the time wrong, we are 1.5 hour from EST and 4.5 from PST. So yeah it will be 7:30pm when the servers go back up. Seriously though you will love reading about Newfoundland and if someday you have a chance to visit I'm sure you would love it. Yeah I'm from and still live in Newfoundland if you haven't noticed.

I'm in Newfoundland. It's amazing how often I see it pop up in connection to WoW. Without knowing them beforehand, I found that 8 of my guildmates are also Newfies. I didn't know there were that many people on this island, much less that play WoW.

I've been lazy and just hoping that the snow goes away again without shoveling after that last snow fall. I don't drive so I just took care of my steps. Hopefully it's done but who knows what April will bring.

I'm also a newfie tho I can't say that any of my guild mates are nor anyone else I know on the server. I can't help wondering tho how Blizzard is so horrid in there time estimates I mean after 8 years you would figure they would have this system maintenance down to a t but more often then not there extending, Why not just come out and say hey WoW is going to be down Tuesday instead of the oh we need another hour, hour and a half passes wait we still need another hour etc until the maintenance that was supposed to end at 11 is ending at 2 or 3. No instead i get to log on wait shit still not up wait then try again and again until its to late for me to play anyhow. Or even a better idea stop doing maintenance at a time that is only convient for the west coast or better yet do the east coast servers at east coast time and the west at west coast time so what if that means the top 5% now have to deal with the fact the east coast servers are up first in there quest for a worlds first

Considering the vast majority of the time the servers are back up before 3:30, I think they're allowed from time to time to have something unpredictable go wrong and need more time.

Okay last comment. Yeah I heard about the freezing rain, I need to go to the store so I will make sure I got a nice path done. I just hate doing the driveway since I have nothing to park in it.

I knoow I usually use my hour cushion between my local time and my server/raid time on tuesdays to do some dailies and get my feasts made for the raid. Granted, I'll still have that hour (servers coming up at 6 east, raid is at 6 central), but I gots mail to check across a bunch of alts. :)
More important that than.. still an hour to kill. Yipe. :) THANKS for bein here wowinsider! :)
