Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite pet?

When the Argent Tournament appeared, I got excited at the pets each faction offered. For Alliance, I had access to both the Teldrassil Sproutling and the Dun Morogh Cub. While my warlock jousted eternally for a Crusader title, my druid was content to just snag the sproutling and the cub. Whenever she out being a bear, she'd have the sproutling out; whenever she was throwing heals, she'd have the cub running by her side.
Now that I have a second druid to cover the caster specs, my bear druid is a full-time feral. The cub doesn't come out to play anymore, but the Teldrassil Sproutling dances and sleeps just about anywhere.
On my lowbie Horde toons, I always get a Horde Balloon. There's always a Celestial Dragon by my guild's bear tank when she runs in for the pull. My caster druid has the mechanical bunny out, since she's an engineer who loves cute animals like Mylune. One of our moonkin hopes that non-combat pets will be nameable in Mists so he can name his always-present Moonkin Hatchling after his daughter. D'awwww!
With Pet Battles coming out, there will always be people hunting for the next best performing pet. But do you have any pets you're already partial to on certain characters for other reasons?

Being Alliance, i got really attached to my new Lunar Festival Red Lamp.
I didn't bought it mind you.
I deleted my Alliance DK, created a Horde DK got out of the starting zone and roamed all over Azeroth on my charger (literally).
Maybe it's the effort i put into it that makes me like it so much.

Oh, and i always have a Lil'XT whenever i'm banking/AHing.
XT is the bane of Train droppers.
Drahken Apr 4th 2012 8:29AM
I did that too! But it was the other way around. I started an Alliance toon specifically to get the blue tantern for my hordie. And I didn't want to delete my DK, so I level up a rogue to about 30 and attempted to bring her all around the world for the 50 coins. I only got 42. I would have gotten them all, but for some reason, while I had three weeks to do it, I waited until basically the last day to start collecting them. I got 36 coins in about 6 hours on a level 30. The only coins I didn't get in EK and Kali aside from dungeon ones were the Blasted Lands and Azshara. I'm a glutton for punishment.

@Drahken
I think it took me somewhat around a weekend to farm it.
I did all EK and Kalimdor, and had to go over 3 or 4 spots on Northrend, since entering Ironforge or Teldrassil with a lv 60 toon wasn't my idea of a good time (i tried).

My favorite pet is usually whatever is newest, unless I just bought it off the auction house (not much fun). I kept lil' Tarecgosa out for the longest time, though, because I was so proud of our raid group for getting the legendary. Wishing there were more achievement pets.
My daughter goes nowhere without the Creepy Crate. Quite disconcerting when we're playing together.

I'd have to say the Kirin Tor familiar is my favorite. A cool way to obtain the pet combined with a puffy elemental model makes for a fun mage accessory. I also like Lil Ragnaros, just for the fact that I can use him as my cooking fire.

I love the Kirin Tor familiar as well. One of my bank alts has the pet and uses a custom emote whenever there is a voidwalker nearby. It reads "Wallstreat's Kirin Tor Familiar wonders if [Voidwalker's Name] might be his daddy."

I was browsing this thinking how I never summon pets anymore, then read your post. I use Lil' Rag as my cooking fire also. In fact, I only think of him as my cooking fire.

Pebble. That little guy was just adorable, and it took like six or seven weeks for me to finally get that blasted quest ten times. I keep him around on my bear tank at all times, as I have very few pets to begin with. He will most definitely be a staple in my pet battle team; that adorable little rock elemental has to grow up some time.

Six Weeks?
You're really lucky, it took me around 3~4 months to actually get him.
Chris Gonzalez Apr 4th 2012 9:03AM
I was on every day just to check if the daily was available. I guess I did get lucky; still, that's the most continuous effort I've put into something entirely cosmetic in WoW. (I hardly play outside of PvE content, to be honest; if I get bored in-game, I log out and go find something slightly more productive to do.)

I got him on one toon on a random drop from the tanking loot bag.
I don't even know where the quest to get him is. Somewhere in Deepholm with the worms and such - but never done it once.

Since I only play trolls, I usually have one of the baby raptors out. Especially the Darting Hatchling, it's incredibly funny to watch him sprinting back and forth.
Only exception to the raptor pet love is my troll shadow priest, he doesn't go out without his Sen'jin fetish.

My Draenei priest is my pet collector, and while I use different pets when I collect them, I always go back to my Tiny Sporebat. I think its cute, and like andrey.pkk, it could be effort (and countless naga) that I put into it that make me appreciate him more.

This may sound weird but: the Enchanted Lantern! I tend to get out a pet amd then feel annoyed after a few minutes and dismiss it again. But not the lantern for some reason - I've had it out for days at a time. It's nice and unobtrusive and, well, pretty, and it makes me a happy troll :-)

It depends on who I'm on. My death knight and druid usually have my gryphon hatchling out (Christmas present from my best friend.) My goblin mage loves her Horde balloon, while my worgen warrior usually has her purple firefly out. And my friends and I have an alt guild on a different server, all-worgen, and have the Creepy Crate out for the critter kills.

I like my Singing Sunflower. I sing along when she proclaims that there are zombies on my lawn.
ravyncat Apr 4th 2012 9:39AM
This is my favorite pet too especially when I am playing by myself because no one in my guild is on. The flower's singing makes me feel less lonely. XD
evoxpisces Apr 4th 2012 10:12AM
I also love this pet! Especially the first time I got it. Its singing gets a little annoying after a while during dungeons or BGs but questing I sometimes have it out.

I got this pet on my pet collecting toon. I tried for it again on my DK. I thought it would be a neat contrasts: this big old crusty Draenei Deathknight with a pretty singing sunflower in tow ;) Of course he got stonewalled at the second to last fight. Recently, I made a new DK to play with some guildies who are on another server. One of the first things I did was go get that pet. More because it gave out some decent XP per each phase. I rediscovered the tricks to getting the pet! So I went back and got it on a couple toons. I will probably try for it on all my toons I level, while the tactics are fresh in my memory :)
