I was farming Noxious Whelps purely for Green Whelp Scale (it seemed like a good idea at the time!) and had no idea they dropped a pet. When the Emerald Whelpling showed up in my bag, I dithered over whether to sell/keep him for a whole week; he was the first really rare thing I'd ever gotten.

Now he goes with me everywhere - he's my good luck charm!
