The Queue: WoW Insider hats

For our next trick, we'll be getting hats on the site.
Lot of hats!
I hope you enjoy our upcoming hat feature -- a hat trick, if you will.
(P/S: I'm kidding. We're not getting hats. But we have a new comment system, so maybe next we'll get faster then light travel. Or hats. I like hats.)
Scotepi asked:
At what point does WoW hit class/race limit? There needs to be a point at lest lore wise when there are to many playable races and balance wise when there are to many classes.
As it is we have 4 races (5 if you count gnomes) that feel shoehorned into the game. And 31, soon to be 34 specs in the game. Do you think the next expansion may be new specs for existing classes? I would love to see a druid of the flame spec, tanking lock, melee hunter, runecaster.
That's an interesting idea, but realize that what you're asking is just the same as adding a new race or class. It doesn't take much for Blizzard to say, "Let's have warlock pandas now." But it does take a lot to add another spec onto an existing class or add an entirely new class with three new specs.
Given that, I don't think we've seen the end to new races and classes. We probably have room for another few classes, and the races we could play are really pretty limitless. This is, in all senses of the word, a world we're playing in, and a world that can grow at the whims of Blizzard's creative development. We're eight years into the game and have had five new races added. In another eight years, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see another five races added.
One thing you can be sure of, though -- we'll be loving our comment system then as much as we do now.
Batleth asked:
Here's the burning hot question leading into the Mists expansion: Will there be a Gnome Monk in the cinematic???? Anyone wanna start taking the odds on that one?
Gnomes will be in the next cinematic. They're just too short for the camera to pick them up. Sorry.
Fallemwarrior asked:
Im looking forward to this expansion so much, between the new zones which look absolutely epic and all the new glyphs and other things,
There s one thing that keeps getting in my way of complete excitement, and that is i am a toon collector and the vast amount of changes going out to all the specs seem daunting, i know the beta has just started but is there any indication of the classes that have changed the most so i can read up ahead of time?
Warlocks have changed the most, by far. Check out our warlock category for all the 'lock information we've got right now. But realize too that it's early beta, and we haven't had any ability to run endgame stuff yet. We'll get a better idea of balance and the full utility of the class at that point.
