WoW Insider has the latest on the Mists of Pandaria!

The Queue: The 18th pale descendant of some old queen or other

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Has the world changed or have I changed?

newage asked:

Has Blizzard ever considered merging all of the expansions into a single purchase? Because as is, once Mists comes out, a new player will need to buy WoW, BC, Wrath, Cata, AND Mists. That sounds needlessly complicated for a new player, if you ask me.

Blizzard's already merged vanilla WoW and The Burning Crusade; Wrath is so cheap now that I'd be surprised if it wasn't merged into a single product with the last two on or around MoP's launch. It's good business.

jsurban103 asked:

The annual pass terms of use posted by blizzard state that if you sign up for the annual pass you will get one (1) standard digital copy to download of Diablo 3....

Will this be similar to how WoW is linked to our battlenet account, so that we can still download it on to multiple PCs (but obviously only be able to log into one macine at a time)? Or is this a limit of the annual pass deal that restricts it to one download, period?

I assume it's multple installs...but I want to make sure. Thanks.

It works exactly the same way WoW does. It's a digital license, so you can play/download it from pretty much anywhere -- you just need to have the right login information and authenticator key (where applicable).

tor.fantasy asked:

I am just getting back to WoW from a small break I took so I am sorry if this has been asked/answered but before I left Blizz was talking of ways to handle the bigger numbers we are gonna see in mists. I remember things like Mega damage being talked about or maybe an item level squish, have they decided on what they are going to do when they decide to make that change?

They opted not to make a drastic change. In the beta, thousands are shown as K rather than the full integer in floating combat text, and it works just fine. GC said Blizzard would reexamine making the squish if it felt necessary later on.

BapoThe-Paladin asked:

An interesting thing about dks. On my other account I have (used it to get the raf rocket) I do not have wotlk tied to it, but when I used the new SoR, and upgraded it to cata for free, I was able to make a dk (no, I didn't choose it to be my new 80). Anyone know when this changed, or does cata / SoR just stealth include wrath now?

Your other account got Cataclysm for free when it was upgraded, and you need Wrath for Cataclysm, so it got Wrath too.

jermakis asked:

What is the reason for having to delete the 64-bit files from my WoW directory every time we have a new patch? Does Blizz just have an easier time having us manually implement the files?

The real answer is that the 64-bit client is still in beta, so it's probably going to continue to be a pain until it's "really" ready.

PetrMelechin asked:

as Blizzard ever explained why they only allow reforging for item levels 200+? It's a shame, really. I feel like it could be another fun thing to do while leveling.

It's just not necessary at lower levels. You get new gear like candy as you level. There's no point in reforging your tank pants when you're getting new ones in half an hour. Leave min-maxing to max-level characters, please.
