The Queue: There is a light that never goes out

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

The pleasure, the privilege is mine.

JamieSmith asked:

Question about the Symbiosis mechanic - I understand that when a druid using it targets another player, both the other player and the druid gain an ability. What does the UI look like for this? Is it similar to the Extra Action Button from the Ultraxion fight, or is there something new?

It shows up in the target player's spellbook as an ability that needs to be placed on their bar. I'm sure someone will figure out a fine macro for it within minutes of it being available, though. Probably just a single button that tries to cast all possible Symbiosis spells.

jomac625 asked:

Do we know what the minimum skill level required is to be able to learn the next level of your profession in MoP?

Probably 500 -- you've always needed 25 points under the current skill cap to learn the next tier of profession skills.

Darren LeBlanc asked:

Why doesn't druid travel form scale with your ground mount speed? The druid flight form scales with flying mount speeds.

Travel Form is not and was never intended to be a permanent mount replacement spell. Much like Ghost Wolf, it's there for the brief period of time when you don't have a mount and for use in PvP. Also, it's instant-cast and usable in combat. So there's that.

Nyold asked:

I just read a few of pet battle details from a while back. I know they're not in beta yet so people can't test it, but I just wanted to know: from the press tour it was revealed that you can swap to a different pet mid combat. How is this gonna work / be fair? If I have 100 pets and you have 1 pet, of course I'm going to win because I can keep switching to a different pet, so my total hp is (almost) the combined total of all my pets. Or am I missing something? I thought with pokemon, you're stuck with a team of three that you preselect before entering the combat.

You have a team of three pets, and you choose which one you want to use in any given turn. Switching pets takes a turn, I believe. Mini Tyrael, I choose you!
