WoW Insider has the latest on the Mists of Pandaria!

The Queue: Gummi Bears

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.

Magic and mystery are part of their history.

And it's a damn shame kids these days don't know about this cartoon. When I have kids, they're going to grow up only watching shows from the '80s and early '90s. They'll wonder why all their friends don't have a crush on the pink ranger.

Trinity asked:

Diablo III talks about having a global setting and then you pick the region you play in. Do you think this improvement will be added to WoW?

No, I don't. WoW is based on older server architecture, first off. Second, WoW itself is a much more social game than Diablo is. I know a lot of EU players, and I've heard from them how difficult the language barrier can be. That would only be exacerbated with adding in the population of the NA realms.

Now, that being said, I'd personally love it if the regional barriers went away. I think the amount of multiculturalism it'd bring to the NA servers would be great. I just don't see it happening any time soon at all.

Sally asked:

Do you think the guild perks will cause the end-of-expansion dieing and reforming of guilds to be different this time around?

To some extent, yes. I think overall, the guild perks have lead to people sticking with their guild more than they did in previous expansions, and I'd expect the result to be that less guilds break up at the end of Cataclysm. Now keep in mind Blizzard would be the only one that could come out with any real quantitative data on this; all we have now is ramblings from folks like me.

The Fraug asked:

What kind of world events can we look forward to for the release of MoP? Will we get to fight for Theramore at some point? Steal valuables from the other faction? Drink Red Bull... er... Demon Blood?

We really don't know. Theramore looks like it's going to have something to do with it, but as for the exact details, no idea. And I really love that we don't know, either. In previous cycles, we've had some idea, some inkling of what's going to happen, but nothing with this. It's awesome not to know. I'm keeping an eye out every day for something to start up.

TJC asked:

If you were able to open a "Not-A-Gym" for the Pet Battle System and accept challengers, where would you open your "Not-A-Gym" in the World of Warcraft and what would you call your Emblem (Not-a-Badge)?

Man ... This gets me thinking ... Monthly WoW Insider Pet Battle competition, somehow? Maybe have people challenge each other, record the results, create some brackets and get people to compete against each other? I know the system doesn't keep track of who won, but as for individual challenge battles, it might work if both parties screenshot the results and sent them into a WI judge. Whoever wins three out of five (or something) wins and advances to the next round.

Maybe we could have a prize or just bragging rights at the end of each month. What do you guys think? Any ideas? Something I should bug people about pursuing?

But to answer your question directly -- it'd be called the Insider Gym and would be located in Nagrand, with the badge being called The Insider Badge. (I think I just violated some furry yellow thing's copyright -- BRB, lawyering up.)
