The Queue: Cat bath

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Cat bath. Cat bath. Cat bath.

jackjenkinz asked:
Whatever happened to Salandria and Dornaa the outland children's week orphans. Are the events foreshadowed in the caverns of time ever going to be revealed, or does it seem that Blizz has forgotten about them?

They're still kids! Give them some time to actually, you know, have a future before their future is revealed.

evilrick asked:

What happened to the WoW Casually column? I was just reading through some of Robin's old posts (most notably "Interview with a Scammer, very interesting read!), and I think that a column like that would be great coming into MoP. Is there something similar, under a different name, that I've overlooked?

Much of that content has been rolled into WoW Rookie. Even though a casual might not be new to the game, both groups can find the same stuff useful -- introduction to new game features, etc.

akinsca5897 asked:

This relates to the tcg. I'm looking for a good card game, something where I can go once a week and play a few people and was wondering, is there a database somewhere that can show me if the game is even relevant in my area, maybe even my age range? I could always go back to magic but I like how the wow tcg plays so id prefer that.

Your best bet is to check out wowtcg.com and look for stores near you that sanction events. You can call and ask when they run stuff, whether there's a night people come in and play, etc. There are active WoW TCG communities all across the country.

recneps1337 asked:

qftq about the queue i dont mean to sound to mean but why have you seemed to limit yorself to 3 questions since the livefire change?

We haven't been limiting ourselves at all; some days are just comparatively light in actual questions asked compared to comments that are part of a discussion or in response to that day's Queue. The weekend suffers from this especially.

ash.w.miller asked:

My friend and I both have rogues (as well as Paladins and DKs and (soon to be) Monks). Has there been any hint that Blizzard will alter the way combo points works and make the system similar to how runes and holy power works? Meaning the resource stacks on the wielder, not the target....?

Unlikely. Blizzard seems to be fond of rogues building combo points on their target, so it's made quality-of-life changes regarding that mechanic -- being able to use combo points from dead targets, Redirect, the new Anticipation talent, etc.

As for monks, chi spenders don't scale with how many points of chi you have, so the resources really aren't similar.

superleadplexi asked:

Gamestop has an MoP "release date" for November 13, 2012. I know that's not a real release date, but who comes up with it? Gamestop or Blizzard? And what is the reason they need to have these "release dates"?

GameStop needs to have a release date in its systems for in order to allow preorders, so when one isn't available but the game is definitely coming out, it just makes one up.
