WoW Insider has the latest on the Mists of Pandaria!

The Queue: Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

After yesterday's Oingo Boingo video, let's get some more Elfman up in here.

RandethCorinth asked:

Any chance we could get an option in Diablo 3 to permanently turn off the General chat? It's not a huge deal to type "/leave General" each time I log in, but it is annoying and starts me off in a bad mood in every game. It can't be that hard Blizz, please?

The game is supposed to remember your chat settings but doesn't. It's just a bug, and it should be fixed in the next patch.

Matthew2 asked:

How come on the Beta, my RealID friends dont show up?

The beta runs on its own infrastructure, so your Real ID friends don't show up there. If you add them on the beta, though, they'll stick around on your friends list there.

Thereone asked:

Has the option to import existing characters into the MoP Beta gone away? I was trying to import my 85 warrior, but only the PTR import option was available, and none of the realm names matched the list of Beta realms. Am I out of luck?

It should be available, but it's not! Apparently, it's a bug that cropped up while Blizzard was prepping the 5.0 PTR, and it should be back soon.

bourne2ace asked:

Will we ever see engaging voice quests, such as those of SWTOR and Dragon Age 2, in WoW? When I say engaging I mean being given choices that affect the outcome of the story.

I think there are two questions being asked here. If you're asking if we're getting more voice acting, the general consensus from the beta is "yes, a little." There's more voice acting by NPCs in quests, which follows Cataclysm's lead. If you're asking if we're going to have five-minute "wait for someone to talk, choose an option, wait for your guy to talk, wait for the other guy to talk, choose an option" conversations à la SWTOR, then no, that's not happening. When I talked to Dave "Fargo" Kosak at the MoP press event (good interview, by the way), he said that WoW is just built on a faster-paced questing system and that making people wait around for stuff they're just gonna skip next time isn't worth it.
