The Queue: Vegas, baby! Vegas!

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

I'm in Vegas this weekend for the WoW TCG North American Continental Championships. Are you?

grpcaro asked:

From a lore standpoint why druids can use wind abilities, like typhoon or hurricane??

Druids have a connection to nature, so it makes sense that they'd have access to some of the elements in a light way. Wind and a little bit of water in this case isn't too much of a leap! Besides, it's not like shaman are making much use of the element of the wind part of the element of air.

Necromann asked:

Why are LFR groups so bad on the weekends? I sometimes forget and land up with the group I just had: 5 people above 25k dps and few people willing to attack blistering tentacles. This is why I mostly LFR tues-thurs and on Mondays.

Lots of people play on the weekends, ergo lots of bad people also play on weekends. That's the luck of the draw, kiddo.

Matthew2 asked:

Is the way Monks heal via Nature a la druids or shaman? or is it a new kind of nature spell? Most of the animations are jade green, wondering if that signifies something. It's misty, which makes me think of elemental stuff, but green, which is druidic. What do you guys think?

It's supposed to be a spiritual energy, so not necessarily nature magic (though I'm sure if it had to be classified into one of the game's schools of magic for game mechanics reasons, it would definitely be nature magic).

davezubie asked:

Whatever happened to Safe Passage -- Convergence. Last I saw it the dwarf was walking away and it went to the lads in Org.

Unfortunately, Kelly Aarons had some real-life stuff to take care of and had to step down from doing our weekly comic. Safe Passage is on indefinite hold.

BrianYard asked:

so how high on blizzards list do you think the making changes to classes that they have said are "done" but the community disagree (i.e. Elemental shaman were told "no buffs to specific abbilitys because we like your rotation as is" roughly 4.2 -ish)

Ghostcrawler mentioned something about this (not shaman specifically) in a blue post recently. Basically, he said that Blizzard has to have the ability to disagree with the community on some things because otherwise the community is basically voting for what they do or don't want in the game. Yes, it's our game, but Blizzard makes it, and sometimes the devs are just going to disagree with you on the "doneness" of something.

That said, I'm OK with spicing up the elemental rotation a little. Just keep posting feedback on the beta forums if you feel up to it. It does matter!

horsehog44 asked:

Is there any new heirloom items coming in MOP?

A new agility staff for leveling monk tanks and heirloom pants for all via the guild vendor.
