The Queue: At the base

In a follow-up from Tuesday's Queue, where I showed a video of what happens at the big 1,400-foot transmission tower my dad runs, I present to you what standing at the base of the tower looks like up close. I went with my dad to work last night when he had to check on something, and I was able to grab the above shot.
There's a little elevator on the tower that runs 1,375 feet up (you have to climb the last 25 feet yourself). Only problem is if the elevator gets stuck and stops working, then you have to climb down, which takes hours.
Vertigo, folks -- you get vertigo just by looking up at the thing. Another pic after the break.
Blazenor asked:
Is there a reason why there has to be separate auction houses for factions instead of just one global auction house?
It's because at heart, the Horde and Alliance hate each other, and the last thing they want to do is help each other out by arming up the opposing faction. There's a neutral AH for those dissidents who wish to strike out against the hatred or wage economic warfare, but that bidding system is ran by a neutral faction of goblins.
It's all lore, and it all fits very nicely.
Revynn asked:Do you guys have your names picked out/reserved for your Pandaren and/or Monk yet?
Of course! JablesStables is already reserved and waiting to kick your rear with karate (from here, to right over there).
TheBlackDog asked:
i dunno if I'm in the minority or not, but is anybody else about tired of people complaining about pandas or kung-fu pandas? I was excited about the announcement when I was at Blizzcon. I get even more excited about it every time I read new patch notes for beta. I guess maybe in part b/c I'm bored with current ingame content (which atm is very sparse for somebody with all classes capped out at 85). But seriously. Find something else to complain about, or don't play MoP at all. Sheesh.
I think a lot of people just like to complain. Folks get on the hatred internet bandwagon, and then it develops into a life of its own. Kinda an annoying human behavior, if you ask me.
And here's what going to happen in Mists: People who QQ about the pandaren are going to see them in action, realize they're not a joke and that WoW hasn't jumped the shark, and then roll one themselves.
Same story, different expansion. Happens every time.
Busscyc asked:
With no Wintergrasp or Tol Barad PvP zone in Pandaria, will there be a raid like Vault of Archavon or Baradin Hold to get tier 14 and season 12 PvP gear from bosses?
Nope. Blizzard has said the gear those bosses provide is going to be coming from world bosses. At least that's the plan. Just keep in mind that plans can and do change.
