WoW Insider has the latest on the Mists of Pandaria!

The Queue: Once upon a dream

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Holy moley, you guys. I just watched Sleeping Beauty on Blu-ray, and it is incredible. It is the best-looking transfer of a Technicolor animated film I've ever seen. You have to track it down and watch it for yourself on a 1080p TV. Do it.

JoeSmith asked:

What's up with the cloud of dragon serpants on Shan'ze Dao island in townlong Steppes? Did I miss a questline when I was questing in the zone at 88?

That area's the level 90 daily quest hub to raise and tame your own cloud serpent.

instamat asked:

Here's a tricky one: In places like the entrance to Stormwind-just before you enter the city from the front gates-or when you leave/enter the Northsire Abbey area, there's a wall of sorts that the player must run around. For my Horde brethren, this is featured in the entrance to Grommash Hold in Org and various "Great Halls" throughout the world. I've taken the liberty to (poorly) illustrate this for clarity:

______| |______
| ___________ |
| |___________| |
|______ ______|
______| |______

What is this type of entrance or architectural feature called?

I don't know what it's called, but it's a really old architectural feature for fortified areas. Essentially, it forces an invading party to either split their forces or move their entire force through a chokepoint; it's an extra step in the invasion process that can buy the defender some time.

kgrove2984 asked:

How late in beta's life cycles do addons typically become enabled? I stayed away from the Cata and Wrath beta's and don't remember the BC beta. Since GC put out his call for theory crafters to hunker down and test out the numbers, do you think we'll see addons soon? If so does this change anyone's expected release date.

They tend to be enabled very late, usually with less than a month to go in the beta's life cycle. Even then, it's hard to estimate how far off we are, though.

RyanWilliamVoll asked:

So with the fact that we will no longer have regular dungeons, just heroic dungeons, will they be getting rid of VP or JP?

Regular dungeons aren't gone; they just won't be available at the level cap. Level 90 instances are all classified as heroics.

Tomfromhr asked:

Any thoughts on what that datamined Pandaren Phoenix will be? Looks to be a mount of some kind. And the colours seem almost Druid-like, to me. One looks like a standard Hippogryph (Nelf) another has colours similar to the Worgen Boomkin, and another has a kind of Darkspear colour scheme. But I may be reaching there. Would be neat to see a new Flight Form, though, particularly, say, one that could carry a passenger.

They're almost assuredly either a faction mount or a raid achievement reward, à la Ulduar protodrakes and Icecrown frostwyrms.
