The Queue: Firelands really sucks IRL

The Queue Things are on fire SAT
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) has taken over this thing today.

See that photo up there? That's the Pine Ridge Fire, which is about 10 miles northeast of where I'm at. I drove by it Thursday. There are pretty much fires all over my state, and I am here to tell you with 100% certainty that while Firelands may be cool in game, it is definitely not a fun thing IRL and wildfires pretty much suck. The worst of it is on the other side of the state, but right now Colorado is not a fun place to be. If you're interested in helping out, Mat McCurley pointed out Wildfire Tees to me yesterday, which is a pretty cool site where local designers have banded together to make T-shirts to sell, and all the proceeds go directly to the cause. Which is my state. It is on fire, guys.

Let's talk some Warcraft, OK?

KalenBarnes asked:

q4tq: is there an addon that lets me talk in facebook chat in game?

Oh heck no, not to my knowledge. That would mean Facebook would have to integrate with World of Warcraft, and I personally I think that would be a pretty lousy thing.

Mark5 asked:

I have a question relating to account wide rep and apologize if it's been asked before but if I earn exalted with one of the new factions and get the achievement for it amongst all my toons do they all then get to purchase the items said faction offers me at exalted too?

Nope! Achievements are account-wide, so you'll have the achievement for it on all of your characters. Reputations are still per character.

PascalvonFintel asked:

When MoP is released will you be able to get it online and start playing it right away or will you have to order a copy?

I'm not entirely certain what you're asking, but if you're asking if there will be a digital download version of Mists that you can purchase, the answer to that should be yes, since Blizzard did it with Cataclysm. You won't be able to play the game until the servers go live, however. It's been the same deal every expansion. No early logging in!

Bob asked:

Two questions: what is the zone order in which we will level in Mists, and how long does 85-90 seem to be taking (relative to 70-80 and 80-85)?

You'll be starting out in Jade Forest and then moving to Valley of the Four Winds. At the beginning of Valley, you have a choice: Stay there, or head south to Krasarang Wilds. The two zones are sister zones that interlink -- you can do one or the other, or do both of them for full story effect.

Once you hit 87, you can safely head to Kun Lai Summit, or you can finish everything out in Valley and Krasarang and then move on. After Kun Lai, you head to Townlong Steppes. By then you should be close to 90, and you can hit Dread Wastes. At level 90, the Vale of Eternal Blossoms opens up a metric ton of dailies and other fun content for you to do.

Level 90 isn't really the finish line at all -- it's just the beginning of a whole heck of a lot of content. Leveling from 85 to 90 seemed to be about equally paced as leveling 80 to 85 did, honestly. It starts out pretty quick in Jade Forest, but those last couple of levels will take you some time to knock out.

TobyWC asked:

Looking though the latest data mining on Wowhead and all the information we have had so far, this new expansion seems so vast with bigger zones, more quests and more to do.
From those who have played the Beta is this the biggest one yet, with more content than the previous three?

Honestly? It sure feels like it. There are a ton of quests to level with, and even after you're done leveling, there are a ton to do after that. It feels like the size and scope of Outland or Northrend, but there is a lot more to do at max level than there ever was in either of those expansions. Mists is massive.

sergel92 asked:

Q4tQ: I'm roleplaying as a Blood Elf and wondering, how much time has passed since the Scourge has rampaged through and left the Dead Scar to when we start the Belf starting zone? 1 year, 100 years, 9 months, etc.?

It's hard to answer a question like that because the timeline isn't exactly set in stone. Dates and years are given here and there in Warcraft lore, but it's incredibly hard to pin down a precise timeline for that sort of thing. However, the blood elves joined the Horde at roughly six years from the point the Sunwell was destroyed. Each expansion so far has covered approximately a year's worth of time, so you'd be looking at about eight or nine years, tops. If you're interested in learning more about elves and timelines for your roleplaying stuff, take a look at our guide, which should be at least a little useful!
