I don't think I've ever been quite so excited for a new feature as I am about Pet Battles. It's not that it's a particularly original concept (goodness knows there have been endless iterations of battling monster games out there), but we've never seen it in Warcraft before. And I have a lot of pets -- I mean a lot. Sure, it isn't saving the world from impending disaster, but oh man, I can't wait to stuff some critters in cages and then let them out to happily try and murder each other.

Now that Pet Battles are live on the beta, we can finally test it out and see what the whole experience is like. Between capturing wild pets, fighting and leveling up the critters I already have, and unlocking all the Pet Battle quests out there with the assorted pet tamers around the world, I have so much for my little furry friends to do when Mists goes live.
