The Queue: Where curiosity will take us

My intro here was going to be about Curiosity (as you can see from the header image that I didn't bother changing), but Adam stole that from me in Around Azeroth this morning. Instead, my intro is going to be about how happy I am that Elizabeth is going to be back doing Around Azeroth tomorrow. Let me tell you, Adam and I make poor substitutes, as you can see from Patrick Stewart's assuming control of our front page on Saturday. World of Warcraft Insider? More like Star Dr Trek Who Insider.
Nyold asked:
When you queue for pet battles, are you going to be matched against people of similar level? Do you choose your team of 3 first then click queue?
I'm just going to borrow darknfyre's answer for this question:
It bases the search off of the level of the pets in your battle lineup when you queue. You can change your pets at any time outside of the queue.You are queued against people the same level. As time goes on, if you don't find a match, it widens the levels, until it finally finds one. Your pets should be around the same level, tho.
runnerpadilla asked:
What is the 'CE' everyone keeps talking about (Cataclysm, MoP)?
It's the acronym for Collector's Edition.
wolfpup61 asked:
Are any of the WoWinsider crew looking forward or interested in Guild Wars 2?
Yeah, definitely. Like I've mentioned previously on the site, there are a few members of the WoW Insider staff (myself included) who like keeping up on all major MMO releases. Unfortunately, my foray into Guild Wars 2 will probably be put off for a while -- not only is Mists of Pandaria coming, but I'm also still trying to squeeze in some love for The Secret World. The Secret World is a really fantastic MMO, and more people should give that one a shot.
@sonicphotonic asked:
If you had wings for a day, what would you do?
Fly, I guess. Get murdered for being a mutant, probably.
@lassirra asked:
When they say account-wide mounts, is that same-server account-wide like heirlooms, or really account-wide on all your servers?
For reals, account-wide. Heirlooms are per server because they take the form of items. Your mounts and pets do not work the same as heirlooms do.
@potatoboy asked:
Cross Faction RealID raid invites? We can talk, why can't we raid?
You can't see it, but I just performed an exaggerated shrug at my computer monitor. The faction and server lines have been blurred so much over the years that the barrier seems really silly. If you're friends enough with someone to put them on your Real ID, you should be able to play with them however you want, I say.
